It appeared to be a local call from a Washington, DC number so I picked up. An automated man's voice claimed to be from the IRS and instructed me to call back immediately in regard to "fraud and misconduct on your tax" he had alleged that I had committed. Absolute BS! I hung up. The following morning, the same number called and left the same msg. in my voicemail. I did not answer.

Today, my husband received a telephone call from 1-919-346-8915, telling him that the person was from the IRS and that my husband needed to send in money to pay back taxes or he would be arrested. The person said that my husband needed to borrow money from family/friends or he would be arrested. When my husband said he needed to check with his wife, the person said that the arrest warrant was for my husband only. When asked, the man said his name was "Eric Holder". When my husband told him that he wanted to record the call and he needed the man's permission, he hung up.

Received voicemail at place of employment stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest for fraud to the IRS. Called the phone number back and spoke with a gentleman with a very heavy accent who stated his name was Mark Willies and gave a badge number indicating he was an officer for the IRS they gave an amount that I was "underpaying" the IRS from 2011-2016, but had to ask me what year I last filed taxes. I needed to tell them on a "recorded line" if I was intentionally being fraudulent in my tax returns or if it was a mistake, then I needed to speak with a supervisor of the IRS to settle outside of the courthouse, was transferred to a Robert Martin who then began asking personal questions and I stated that I felt this was a scam and he said that is your choice whatever you do decides your future.

Automated voice claiming to be from IRS. Made vague threatening statements.

“...an arrest warrant has been issued”

“...state authorities will be contacted”

I did not call the number, but suspect that they would try to take money.

This man called twice in the same day. Claiming to be an officer from the IRS who was investigating the fraudulent activity on my taxes??????? I was to return his call at the number given along with a name. I guess he did not know that I have NEVER been audited by the IRS and that I am the furthest from fraudulent that a person can get. PLEASE report these calls to the police as I will be doing. This annoyances by these people need to be stopped. Too bad the day our cell numbers went public.

A recording was left on my voice mail by blocked number. It sounded slightly mechanical (computer generated) like the speaking voice used by early computers. It stated: "This is Officer Ryan from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. This is to notify you that you are under federal investigation because of the fraudulent, unethical activities found in the audit report of your taxes. You can reach me at 646-558-6671. Do not try to disregard the message or else it will continue as an offense from your side. Again this is Officer Ryan from Internal Revenue Service."

Firstly, I don't owe any taxes and I file the simple form so there is no possibility of fraud. Secondly, I've already blocked this number so that tells me right there I've already determined it to be a scam. Thirdly, I know the IRS sends everything through mail so it's all documented. Not to mention I've always spoke to real people in the past, not poorly simulated voice recordings.

If this is a google phone number or something like that, Google needs to shut these guys down. Its a call from someone likely in a foreign country saying the IRS is going to confiscate bank accounts and black list SSN if they aren't called back at this number.
