TD Bank Imposter

Received a letter appearing to be from TD Bank. The letterhead was in black and white and the envelope was off. The letter said they wanted to inform me that communications are available in an alternative format and then had:
1-866-610-8501 Ext 2030 in big letters in the middle of the page.
At the bottom of the page it had text saying "This communication is an attempt to collect a debit . . . "

TD Bank had no record of sending this letter.

Received a letter

I received a letter in the mail stating that if I needed to communicate with TD Bank that I can call the number in the letter. I called TD Bank and they said that number is not TD banks and to call the recovery department first thing in the morning.

They want ss# ,etc filled out on a W-9 form. Threatening me if no response,etc they will charge fees, with hold , penalize by irs, etc.

I've never banked with them or done any business with them ever to my knowledge.

I was called by a number whose caller ID appeared as TD Bank. Upon answering the phone, they immediately hung up. I contacted TD Bank Customer Service and was told this number is not affiliated with any TD Bank location or department.
