Type of a scam Debt Collections

They leave a message stating that " me / consumer " is being sued by the IRS. When I called them they said I owed $ 1,000.00 for taxes on my foreign investments. When I stated that I knew they were not the IRS, and that it was a scam, the person started cursing at me, then he hung up.

Said on message:

"We have been trying to reach you. This call is official final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you, your physical address, and, your employment is under state investigation. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our dept number 845-402-9949. I repeat number 845-402-9949."

I'm disabled and don't work; my husband and I file together each year. I Don't work. They called on my cell phone number and left the above message. Did not return call.

The caller was trying to get me to give my personal information to collect a debt for IRS . They gave me officer Alex Cook badge #60601 then transferred me to officer Edwin Ortiz badge IRN9385. Trying collect 9,000 then drop it to whatever I had to stop the collection process.

I received a recorded message on my answering machine, dated May 3, 2016 @ 11:27am.

The message said it was from an officer of the IRS and that there was a law suite filed against me. I needed to call 347 637-6194, regarding this matter.

I have been receiving calls the last three days from the IRS. This is the final call. Threaten jail for five years if not resolved. Caller offered to settle out of court. . That's what made me call the phone number back. I called back 303-250-0182 They told me this is the IRS. I owe $7000. From 2008-2013 They did an audit. Mark Kelly. His ID Number is 702489. Transferred to supervisor David Miller. I told them I did not work. I asked for their address. They gave me 1111 Constitution Ave. NW Washington DC 20224. They asked for the last four digits of my social security number. They also asked for my birthday. I gave it out. I did not send any money. They hung up on me. I thought it was the IRS.

I received a message on my home answering machine today. The message scared me so I called you. The woman said Internal Revenue Services. The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately to 312-985-5367. I did not call the number back. I usually let the answering machine screen my calls.

I received a call on my home telephone yesterday morning. Caller said they were the IRS. They are going to put a case on me. They said I owed them money. They wanted me to call 202-580-8564. Then they called again and left a message on my answering machine at about 5:30 last night, Message stated Final Notice. Caller repeated the same phone number to call. They also called my neighbor across the street. We are senior citizens. I know this is a scam. The I R S would write me a letter. I had heard about this scam on the radio. I wanted to report the call.

I received a call today on my home phone. My caller ID showed New York and the phone number 347-826-5644. The caller said his name was John Ryan. He said I owe money to the IRS. He said please do not talk until I finish. He said in 2010 something about my taxes. Stated I owe over $3000. I said I'm going to contact my lawyer and have him call you. He hung up. I called him back and the same man answered. He answered IRS. I said I spoke to my lawyer and I am going to record you. He said do you think this is a fraud. I said yes and he hung up on me.

They left a phone number for me to call back. I did not write the phone number down or call it back. They instructed for me to press 9 to end call. I pressed 9. The caller did not sound professional.

I was concerned so I called the phone number back. 301-637-8978. Person with an accent answered the telephone Internal Revenue. I asked why they called and threatened me. He hung up. I called them back. They stated you are retired and hung up on me.

Each time it would beep three times and disconnect.

This is final notice. They will take me to court and sue me. I picked up the phone and said hello the message just kept continuing. Message stated to call a phone number but the message cut off. I tried to call the phone number back. It rang once and went to busy signal.

I am receiving many calls on my cell phone. The caller states they are with the IRS. The recording states to call them back to arrange payments. The number they want me to call back is 509-987-2550. They called me yesterday three or four times. They called me again this morning. When I call the telephone number back it is busy. Then I called back and a lady answered the phone speaking Spanish.
