I was contacted via text message. I was informed that my Indeed resume was found and asked if I was interested in the company's available remote/hybrid positions. I asked for further job descriptions and details. I was then directed to download the Microsoft Teams application to further discuss job briefing and interview with a Mr. Victor Kim who introduced himself as the company's hiring/operations manager. After discussing further the potential job descriptions and employee benefits the company offered, I was asked to provide the following information: first and last name, email, sex and phone number in order for him to open an employee file. I originally provided this information but then thought better of it a few moments after sending it and deleted the response. (I am unsure if the chats in this application are set up so that if it is deleted from the sender, it is unsent.) I proceeded sending a different message stating "I am not entirely comfortable providing personal information without speaking to someone from the company. Unfortunately, scams are in high pursuit I've come to find out". There was no response to this. I then said "is this a reasonable request?". No response again. Finally I said "I am just asking you to legitimize the company you are representing". That was the last contact on the Teams app. I took a screen shot of the conversation and sent it to the original individual who contacted me via text messaged and asked "Was this an unreasonable request from your hiring team?' There was also no response to this final message. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the text messages from my inbox earlier today while clearing out other messages.
