Puppy scam

I ordered a puppy from her the puppies name is Kari, she told me i had to make a deposit of $350 in order to reserve the puppy and we would schedule to meet yesterday she said that her son fell from a bike and had serious injuries and needed medical attention so she asked me to push it to today so i told her i needed to see proof of the puppy because i had a bad feeling about it but she didnt respond till 12:03 this morning she just responded with yes when i asked again at 6:45 am she stopped replying to me after 3 hours of no response i told her I would get the police involved or just want a refund completely she started getting upset saying that i will get my puppy to calm down i told her I was not going to calm down she needs to meet up with my brothers and give me the dog so she asked for another $250 to set up a date for pick up after she told me I can pick the dog up whenever after i sent the $350 i told her no i was not doing that because she said we can do it in person so i told her to give me my money back after i looked her up on the internet she is a middle aged woman her real name is Katlyn D Barbant she’s is located out of denver Colorado

I inquired about a puppy on the site, after emailing several times and exchanging info I was promised a puppy. I was told the deposit to hold a dog was 350 but the total would be 750. My first red flag was that the English seemed to be off once we began texting. Unfortunately i did not dive further into investigating until after sending the deposit, afterwards i asked a plethora of questions which they ignored and only asked for the rest of my payment. I chose to not continue as i strongly feel this is a scam. There is no reputable address on the website, no fb or social media, they only text and did not answer the phone. Hopefully this report helps future people to not make the same mistake
