A lady called me from this number, saying she is representing Helping Hands Association, doing promotions on travel hotels. She mentioned 4 days and 3 nights for free promotions on a hotel either to Orlando or Gutensburg in TN. She asked whether I was over 25 years old, I said yes. And she asked whether I do have a credit card, I said yes. Afterwards, she put me on hold to talk to a "senior officer". I hung off during the process because I became suspicious. But I already said "yes" to the above two questions. I googled online and found that it might be a scam.

Caller started asking me questions about medical coverage and I told her that I wanted to know who she was with. She said Helping Hands Association. When I continued to try to get her to tell me who she was with or who she was, she hung up.

The call started like many of the scam calls from "Helping Hands Association" - all a recording and an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system describing a vacation package from the Exploria Resorts site, Summer Bay in Orlando Florida. The dialog attempts to get you to say 'yes' or 'ok' to their questions. Eventually the conversation gets to a point where they will transfer you to an agent and they ask "How is the weather there?". Any utterance is acceptable to this question, even just a grunt or sneeze. They attempt to make it sound like a conversation with a person, but since the IVR system is fairly poor, any reply moves you through the 'conversation'. Just be careful to not reply with something like 'yes' or 'OK'.

This same organization "Helping Hands Association" runs this same scam for healthcare issues as well as the ever popular 'interest rate reduction' scam.

It would be really nice if someone/organization would actually pursue tracking these scammers down. Right now it just seems such a low priority issue that the scammers feel they will never be caught. I would love to see the organizers of this scam perp-walked on national television and then locked up for years as well as having to pay each of their 'marks' thousands for the inconvenience of being subjected to their annoying calls.

I have received three separate calls at my work phone number from "Helping Hands Association". One was for hearing aid offers; one was for diabetes treatment; and today I received one to transfer all my cellphones to T-Mobile wireless. All callers state they work for Helping Hands Association. Repeatedly say throughout the call can you hear me okay? Can you hear me Okay? I replied NO each time and the call continues. I believe it is a robo call that sounds like a person? Each time I asked how they got my number and the line goes dead. The call doesn't disconnect but no sound on the other end.

A man named "Joe" called from "Helping Hands Association" partnering with a cruise line and wanted to know if I was interested. He started giving me information and then stopped to ask, "Can you hear me okay?" I said, "Yes" and then he continued to explain the cruise before the called dropped. After hear about the, "Can You Hear Me" scam, I tried to call the number back but it didn't work. I also researched the "Helping Hands Association" and found that it is a really association in Florida but they have a notice on their Facebook page that scammed are using their name.
