I received a check from Happy Dream & Lucky Star for $8485 to cover the cost of collecting a sweepstakes win of $72,000. I’m instructed to call Donald Bailey before processing the check and “follow any information, or advices that he may given to you over the phone”. The letter is full of grammatical errors and The cashier’s check was from US Eagle Bank out of Albuquerque New Mexico (which I researched and found is a valid institution).

I received the same thing. How does this scam work? It must have something to do with cashing the check, but what/how do they do it?

I received a check in the mail for $10482.42 to cover taxes and fees for a sweepstakes I had won for $982,000.00. I felt this was a scam and called the ScamPulse.com to confirm.
