Type of a scam Utility

I received a phone call yesterday from someone claiming he worked for FP&L (he called from (800) 888-1860) and he claimed that he was a technician with the company and was calling to say that my power was set to shut off at "5:15PM" for non-payment. I knew immediately that this was a lying SCAM because my FP&L account has been set up on Automatic Payments for over a year, so I told this person they were lying, hung up on him, and called FP&L directly. Their automated system pulled up my account and stated that my account was in good standings, of course. This scammer called me BACK at that moment so I clicked over and was very aggressive in telling him he was a lier. He got a little loud as well and kept saying that my power was going to be shut off and kept saying my whole name and address and that there's no mistake. When I told him I had called FP&L and knew he was lying, he then stumbled and knew he couldn't scam me. He said "You did? Well, what phone number do you have for them? I could provide you with a number to call." I said "No! I don't need any number from you... I've had their REAL number for years! Stop scamming people! I know you're calling people trying to scare them into paying some false overdue balance over the phone!" He said "Well how do you think I could take these payments?" I said "I don't know because I didn't let you get that far with me! Stop stealing from people!" and I hung up. This is pretty scary that this man is calling from a toll-free number and even is prepared to provide people with another fake toll-free number to call "FP&L" to probably make their payments.
