Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Two days ago I received a genuine looking check for $200.00. The problem is I see what I think are red flags:
(1) The name on the check (Metavante Corporation) does not match the name on the letter (Fidelity National Information Services)
(2) The acronym they use (FIS) does not match the name on the letter ( (Fidelity National Information Services)
(3) The area where my address is has the state, and zip code covered in 'white-out' and the correct state and zip code hand-written in
and I'm having difficulty finding Metavante Corporation on-line using their website ([email protected])
