Scammer claimed to be Hannah Polston, a recruiter from Flexjobs, trying to get me to do an interview on Whatsapp. Claimed I could get paid $30 -$50 just for the interview. Very evasive/vague about what the job actually was and would not tell me the name of the employer.

I was contacted, through CareerBuilder, of a job opportunity of a remote Data Analyst for the company Black and Decker. I was guided to downloading Microsoft Teams where I had to message an Adam Kotsier with verification code BND-160B. After doing an online interview on Teams only using text, He stated that the company will send me money to order the items needed for the job. After this I became very skeptical, the items he was listing were 2024 released items and very expensive. I did further research on this and realized that it was indeed a scam.

I applied on LinkedIn to a company called Sensus Healthcare for their Data Entry position. I was then contacted by Michael Keane, the email he used was "[email protected]". I was told exactly this in the beginning after being told I have been shortlisted to the next stage of an online interview "Alright, welcome to this online interview before we proceed. I would like to explain the meaning of an online interview. An online interview is an online research method in which participants are asked a series of questions, given the description of the company and the job position aided by the use of computer-mediated communication tools such as instant messaging, email, or video chat technology, but what we are doing now is the instant messaging method. The name of the company is “Sensus Healthcare.”. Just follow the briefing and you can ask questions when I am through...Let me know when you have finished reading and understanding every line. You will be allowed to ask questions later. With each line, respond with a "Done Reading" and YES/NO when necessary. I hope this is very well understood." I proceeded through the questions, many of them were common personality, and what your work ethic type is. They also asked me did I file for 2022 - 2023 in one of the questions which didn't set off alarms at first due to the excitement at possibly finding employment after being laid off for so long in my case. I was also told that they would create a company email for me on ID.me which would then be changed to my personal email at a later date and that it was to only verify my identity, and so I took the photos requested of ID.me. After I went through the whole interview I was told I received and needed to sign and offer letter and W4 which was only emailed to Michael Keane ("[email protected]"). I was then told that I would be emailed a check of $4,250 that I had to use mobile deposit on to be able to order my equipment from a supposed vendor they have. The check did not go through, so I went ahead and asked my bank what happened. They told me it bounced because that bank did not approve it. At which point they want me to send them $300 to speed up onboarding so that I have the software to work. I lie about my current finances and refuse to buy anything because I've never experienced a job needing something like this. I was also asked to open a Chase account to utilize their mobile deposit. At that point I told them to rescind the offer letter and that I decline it. I have since contacted ID.me to let them know that log in is fraud and am filing a complaint here. They didn't get any Immediate finances from me but they do have access to that ID.me, a W4 with my information and my drivers license on ID.me. The scammer was also contacting me through this phone number +1(334)497-5130

I was approached saying i can make money out started with $50.00 and you send it to the platform via crypto currency. This was suppose to be a job in which you earn commission on rating music within the platform and at first it started with small commission and then the commission was larger in hopes that you can complete 3 sets of rating. Yet it continue to increase. I was informed that once i pay the what's owed then they would release my funds. However, then they told me after that the website was going through a clean up and i was contacted by the individual that i had to finish my sets to be able to withdraw my funds. When i came up with the funds, then they inform me that i have to pay 50% of 18000 in order to withdraw my funds. Why would someone your working for ask for additional money in order for me to get paid. They also have a finance department this is the walket they use.

I was originally contacted by Boyd consultants, to reach out to Addison Martin about a data entry position, which ended up being a personal assistant position. They mailed me a check for $2500 and demanded I deposit it immediately into my bank account. I never Filled out any employment paperwork or received an offer letter. The emails were very strange. They asked me to look up flights for them and told me I needed to pay for their flights since I had received a check from them.

I was sent a text message stating “Hello. Good afternoon. This is Victoria Elson, Hiring Manager for Arcadia Care. You applied for the position of an Administrative Assistant via Zip Recruiter. kindly affirm if you are still interested in this Job position” I checked my email and did not have an receipt of applying for this position (but I did apply to the Company for a different position, so I think the application is connected to the scam)

She sent a email of the job description

I then Did a phone interview and received acceptance 2 days later. I was already suspicious of the offer because the “recruiter” corresponded 1. Thru text message & 2. Extremely later after business hours (but I assumed maybe they were on UK time).

After receiving the offer letter I was just uncomfortable sending my social and pics of Identification via email, it just didn’t seem secure. I googled the recruiter and the name did connect to a linked in page for the hiring manager at the company but I still felt uneasy because 1 I didn’t apply for the position & 2 the process was too easy and fast. I finally thought to google the phone number and thank god I did!! Definitely a close call, the scammers are getting smarter. I now have to tell my husband it was a scam. The offer letter also said they would pay for all equipment necessary for the position after the paid training but I didn’t get that far in the process because I googled the number and found all this information

A remote job was offered with pay rates and commissions that were far fetched. Upon inspecting the given URL for their website I saw that it was created recently, and decided to research further.

I'm register in the web LinkedIn. to looking for job, I received email, and they watch through this web, The offer was exactly that I needed work home remote with a great salary. I received a total of more of 30 emails explain about the company, benefits and ethnic conduct, I received a msg though my phone to verify my identify trough ID.ME, After "I approved for the job", they asked about my space to put a mini office to able to work and they told me that they were going to send me a check to buy all equipment, and sent by email a check that I can print and deposit by mobile app, That was weird but I did, after that every 30 minutes sent msg asked about the money deposit and every moment they asked about it, I felt this is not right, I went to my bank and explain what I did, and they can verify this check was a fraud case.

I was offered a job as a Personal Assistant for Capital Invest Company ([email protected]) on or about December 15, 2023 under the condition of a non-paid month-long internship, then paid employment following that. The gentleman who hired me, CHARLES MORAN ([email protected]), contacted me through email. The internship supervisor, JONATHAN SIMON (JS) ([email protected]), communicated via WebEx. Their website was subpar, as I did research them with suspicion, but I was so desperate for employment, I pushed forward. During the training, JS had me enter various account numbers to establish an account with Wise Bank, which after several failed attempts disabled my access. When I asked should I choose the dispute option, JS said no. I thought this was odd, as was the various account and routing numbers, but again, broke and desperate. So for the next two months, JS would instead have me do remedial spreadsheets, organizing thousands of names from collected resumes from people worldwide. This was very strange, but I did as instructed. When the first month ended, I was due for pay, but was told that because I "hadn’t completed training," I was ineligible until that happened. I should’ve quit then, but desperate, I refuted, stating the lack of training completion was the fault of Wise Bank rejecting their own information. Alternatively, I was asked to establish a LibertyX account, and instructed to use $500 to $1,000 of my own money to invest for training (yes, he actually said this). I told JS I did not have that kind of money, informing him of my frustration as they hadn’t even paid me. They then resolved to send a direct deposit, but at the appointed timeframe of delivery, no funds came. They said their system was down, and after failed attempts to resend it, they would send me a check. … I should’ve quit by now but I was desperate, so I waited and waited… no check ever came. Delay after delay, they would always push the business day timeframe. I lashed out at them about my financial situation, and JS once again stated his "finance department" attempted to send a direct deposit, which never posted/arrived to my bank account. At the tail end of employment, JS instructed me to create a CareerBuilder account, I suppose to use me as an agent to seek their new victims. We went through the steps, and using c/o account information, along with his email and my name, the account was suspended, likely due to the system sensing suspicious activity. At this point, I was beyond livid. I demanded a Zelle payment. JS took my email linked to it. He told me the "finance department" would reopen on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, following the holiday (President's Day 2024); however, JS did not answer WebEx at all all throughout the morning. I sent him and Charles an email, stating my dismay, and demanding my owed payment. There was no response from either gentleman. To note, there were a couple of mornings JS mistakenly sent messages in what I perceived as Russian text, but he may have deleted those instances, as I do not recall finding them when I re-scrolled through the messages. Further, JS did have his infamous "finance department," with whom I could never have a one-on-one phone call, provide account numbers to attach my account, as an external account to resolve the payment issue; but, as expected, they all failed. While I am not sure what exactly the scheme these gentlemen are running, I suspect, they gauge one’s potential worth by prompting employees to use their own funds for training etc. In my case, I complained incessantly about my pressing expenses and overdrafts, so they likely were less invested in me towards the tail end of their string-along. Please catch these crooks, and keep them from hurting other people. I wasted three long unpaid months with these people. Please do something to stop them. Thank you.
