I took on what I thought to be a legitamate gig in data analyst, through a facebook ( jobsite) page. Having a backround in sales and marketing, I could tell by the messages between my "advisor" and myself via TELEGRAM she was very unprofessional without decorum. I spent 6+hours messaging back and forth during training. I made sure to ask how my payment would be set up, and it was agreed upon that it'd be my preference. After completed training, I was on my own to do 28 product reviews to access my payment for the day. However, after my scheduled time, I was pressured to set up a bitcoin wallet, take photo identification along with drivers licence verification and send that info to a support chat bot. I never recieved my payment.

I was invited to an interview but the email address and the body of the email contained no certain company name. I scheduled through the calendly link as the email came while applying for roles but still tried to figure out where the invite came from. It was then that my full name was entered although it’s also my email address. I then put the number into google and saw that the exact number was listed in the ScamPulse.com scam tracker. I so far have not lost anything but will be on the look out as I do not plan on attending the video meeting.

They will email you about interest in being a Transport Compliance Checker that is a remote work from home job. It promises to pay and the end of the first month 4400 and 2200 biweekly after that. Sounds to good to be true because either is. They use stolen credit card numbers to send packages to your house. Avoid this scam and spread awareness.

The complainant was contacted by a man allegedly named Robert Lee and a female going by the name Sophie Chang. The complainant was told her information was passed on to them from an associate business advertising for employment with Indeed. The targeted address does not appear on Google Earth. The company phone number ************* is a Verizon number that the message said no longer in service. Robert Lee has a phone number *************, however he does not answer this phone and has no voice mail set up. Documents were sent to the complainant to sign including W4, privacy notice and request for banking information for direct deposit. The complainant received a welcome letter indicating she has been hired however there has been no physical interview and a request to sign a background investigation authorization. Sophie Chang has an email address of [email protected] which she has responded with as late as 10pm Florida time.

I asked the company if they were accredited by the ScamPulse.com and they ask me if I was there for a job or to be a detective. So I said of course it's a scam. They said F U and I told them to go scam someone else. I have the screen shot of the conversation.
