The offer sounded so promising.... but luckily, I knew something was off at the end and did not buy the certification. However, I did enter my personal email and home address on the certification website, unfortunately.

On 01/05/2025 I checked my accounts and realized that they had removed the money on 01/03/2025, most likely right after our conversation. I contacted them on 01/06/2025 to voice my concern and told them that this was not what I had agreed to, and wanted a refund. By 01/9/2025 I had not received any answer, so I went ahead and filed claims on the accounts.
The same day, the company contacted me and threatened to keep my money, if I did not remove the claims. There was no explanation for the 3 days of silence. They claimed that their finance department would be happy to help me with the refund, as soon as those claims were removed. I believed them and started the process of removing the claims on 01/10/2025. It took a full week to get all of them resolved and on 01/17/2025, I sent the proof of this to Connor Butler as directed. I never received an answer.
I continued to contact them throughout the following week, however there was no answer and no refund.
On 01/24/2025, I reinstated the claims. As of today, there has been no communication from Valyoumedia. In essence, I’ve been defrauded twice.

I received an email from Edgewood Healthcare ([email protected]) to download the Signal app and connect with Fred Zamora. Was told I would go through an interview. I was sent to a seemingly legit questionnaire and then told about the position. There was no real interview. I thought it was odd that there wasn’t an interview, but that alone did not set off any alarms.
“Fred” sent the information to the “admins” and then early morning the next day, I received the job offer. I went through the onboarding process, which, of course, seemed very legit.
I made the mistake of giving my banking information to set up Direct Deposit. But it made sense.
But the “e-check” they provided me for equipment purchase (another red flag that had me confused since I was told the equipment would be provided to me) is showing as funds in my bank account.
I was then assigned to an “Inventory/Purchasing Agent” to purchase the equipment through? I’m not even sure what I was thinking. I should have backed out long before this.
It is the next part that I knew sounded like a scam, but allowed myself to believe some half-baked explanation. An explanation for why they wanted me to use Cash App to purchase the equipment through. Which alone was not enough to totally freak me out yet, but then they said I needed to go through the bitcoin function. I went ahead and did this. I was thinking that since uts not actually my money, maybe the reasoning makes sense. I was told they used bitcoin to immediately have funds available. I don’t trust bitcoin, but allowed myself to be suckered into it. I really needed this flexible remote position. And the pay was too good to pass up.
I randomly thought to look up this company and whether or not it was a scam and found way too many reports here just in the last few days. I wish I would have immediately looked up the company before giving all of my personal information.
Anyway, I will be going to the bank in the morning before any damage is done.
