Discount Charter Bus Charter Rentals Reports & Reviews (1)

I contacted Ronald Logan with Discount Charter Bus Rentals through Yelp on January 14, 2009, regarding renting a charter bus for a 6-day tour of D.C. He emailed a quote which I deemed too expensive, so the next quote was agreeable. After this time, the contact person for the church group I coordinated the trip for, and I sent several emails to Mr. Logan for months. Our emails entailed his advice about venues and revising the itinerary, which was finalized on July 17. He was paid $4987 by the church’s company check in two installments: $1500 on May 9 and $3375 on June 23.

The week before the trip I was going through my final communications/notes and noticed Mr. Logan’s business address was on his quote but not his invoice. I then checked the Better Business website and saw two complaints from May and June of this year, which really alarmed me. There were no complaints before this time. I called Ronald on Monday night (July 22) around 11 p.m. (his website states they are open 24 hours). A male answered, put me on hold and in a couple of minutes Ronald was on the line. Thinking back, it was probably him who initially answered. I questioned the two Better Business complaints and his physical address not on the invoices he sent to the church group. He seemed surprised/unaware. He blamed the two Better Business complaints on the customer. I then asked what his business physical address was, and he replied: “712 H Street, N.E. Suite 1181, Washington, D.C.” I didn’t feel confident with his answers, so I asked him not to leave us stranded at the airport. He assured me the bus would pick us up at Reagan DCA Airport on Sunday July 28 at noon. Before boarding the plane to D.C., on July 28, I emailed Mr. Logan around 3:30 a.m. and asked him to call my cell when the bus arrived at the D.C. airport. When our plane landed, he had not responded to my email nor my numerous texts and phone calls which went to voicemail. No one showed to pick up our group. After sitting in the airport for nearly two hours I found a company to accommodate our group, but the cost was expensive.

I called the police D.C. police department to report the incident. The officer checked Mr. Logan’s business address and noted it was a packing and shipping company. To this date I have not received any communication from him.
