Card Member services called me yet again from 800-847-2911. I have asked them on numerous occasions to stop calling me. Sometimes they hang up on me and sometimes they don't. They also call from different numbers as well.

- Birnamwood, WI, USA

Number called me stating they could lower my interest rate. They knew all of my account info including account numbers, expiration dates, current balances, and more. When I stated I wasn't interested and hung up, they called 15 times repeatedly. I answered on the 15th time and they stated I just didn't understand what they were doing and became very rude. It was a number supposedly based out of Green Bay, WI. The guy claimed his name was Kim Elizer and he was from "card member services."

- Haslett, MI, USA

They call themselves "card member services" and they call me quite frequently. They always spoof thier number and when I ask them where they are calling from the answer doesn't match the location on the caller ID. The last call I received was from the number 2254541933 at 1049am April 14, 2016. The caller ID said this number was from LA however the person calling claimed he was in Orlando. When I ask to be removed from thier calling list they respond by hanging up, saying they can't or most recent occurrence, this guy just told me to shut up.

- Pearl City, HI, USA

The call is computer made. You are asked to press 1 if you have a debt of 10K or more to speak to an agent. This is a scam to get your personal information only. The calls bounce across cities around the mainland US. If you try to get more information about the company, the person hangs up. The company they claim to be is Card Member Services. I use a blocker on the numbers. It lasts about 2 months, then they change the number calling from and the phone rings.

Don't give them any personal information.

got a phone call to lower my interest rates on my credit card ..... just pay $1500 to card member services ... so I am terminating my credit card account and am curious if this is legal

"Hello, this is Rachael from Card Member Services." The recorded voice is calling from phone numbers that cannot possibly be theirs. I had three calls today from this recording and have received several over that last couple of years. One of the numbers today showed to me my own number calling me..

- Edmond, OK, USA

I have had numerous calls to my cell phone from spoofed local numbers. Every time I answer it is a robocall saying "Hi, this is Rachel from Card Member Services" and it goes on to say I have been selected to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. I don't have credit cards, so it is some what amusing but highly annoying. I have been receiving these calls at least 2-3 times a week for months. I have registered with the do not call list and reported these numbers.

- Pryor, OK, USA

i have been getting calls several times a week saying this is Rachel form Card Services calling to lower my interest rate. I have connected with the person on the phone by pressing 9 to talk to the operator several times, to ask that my name be taken off the list for repeat calls. Well, I just got one from the same entity, 918-841-2149. Bartlesville, OK. I pressed 9 to speak to an operator and they ask me for my cc# right off the bat. I told him no, that I wanted to be taken off the list, and I received a cussing like I have never had. I called the number back and the answering machine said his name was Ken. I told him my complaint in a message. The man who cursed me out was an oriental man. I would appreciate information to help me get off this list, please.

"card member services" called and told me I qualified for lower interest rates and it would guarantee lower rates. Unfortunately, I gave them a few card numbers but would not give them the 3 number security code. When I pressed them for what the catch was, if they were charging my credit card with anything, they said they already had charged $900. I repeated several times no one had asked permission to charge my card, and "I do not give permission to charge my card". He called me a nasty name and hung up.

I would like to notify the ScamPulse.com of this phone number: 1-800-492-9168, who called my cell phone this morning. I spoke with my credit card holder, Wells Fargo, and they are not affiliated with "Card Member Services". I researched online this phone number as well as "Card Member Services" and found that this is a SCAM operation. I'm certain ScamPulse.com is aware of situations like this, however, I want to make my own personal complaint. The woman who called identified herself being "Card Member Services". She wanted to know any balances that I have on credit cards. I informed her that this was not her business. She said, 'oh, yes, it is, because you signed up for this. I will have to report this to the credit bureaus.' I'm not a typical senior; I'm an educated person, a retired teacher, and am cognizant of scam operators. This "representative" was threatening when she said that it was her business, and that she would have to report it the credit bureaus. What can be done about these people who are likely scamming some seniors in the USA? Oh, by the way, when I tried to call this number back, it was busy every time I tried the number!

- Philadelphia, PA, USA

I received a call today from a business named Card Member Services. They said they could lower the interest rate on all of my credit cards. I asked how they could do that and why not just go through the credit card company. The individual who identified himself as Seth Davis (he clearly had a middle eastern accent) said they work with all credit card companies to provide this service, and even send out all the bills for all the credit card companies. He asked for my credit card number. I gave him a number from a credit card that had been cancelled due to fraudulent charges. I asked him for his call back number. He kept asking for more information. I asked him to call back in 10 minutes. I hung up and called my credit card company and they told me the call I had received was definitely fraud and to report it to the BBB.

Automated call to reduce interest rate on credit cards. Asked for $699 to permanently reduce interest rates on current credit cards. Said they were from *** and card members service finance department. Called *** to verify and they do not offer this service. Also called credit cards customer service and they indicated there are several scams of this kind.
