A hacked Facebook friend led me to a fake crypto platform called Blue Oak Holdings.

I originally thought this was a friend on Facebook. I told him I wanted to invest some money, fortunately not very much, about $2000. I had thought his platform for crypto trading was Greenium Holdings but then it was Blue Oak Holdings (website BlueOakHoldings.org). He gave me a number to text him and while it was not his usual number, that I had had but lost, I really thought it was him. I’m still not sure it wasn’t him. But he had me watch my money “grow” to almost $200k supposedly and when I wanted to withdraw, he kept telling me about fees he forgot to advise me of. At first it was $2400 and then when it was $20,000, I caught on because I didn’t have that much. I called him out and pretended I had the money but would only give it if I met him to do the transaction in person. That’s when he fed me a bunch of more lies and I just blocked him. I contacted my friend via other means and he apologized and said other friends had been scammed to when his Facebook account got hacked. I’m still not sure that it wasn’t him, especially after his weird behavior with me after that.
