THIS IS A SCAM!

- Noblesville, IN, USA

Received an email from someone not the BBB. Said we had violated the Fair Labor Standards Act. Scam.

Got this email today. Even though I know the company I work for would not violate H&S acts you never know if a complaint could be filed. However, the wording / grammar was very suspicious. Looked it up and sure enough others have received the same scam. I dont know what they want but I'm not going click on the link to find out either.

It read as follows:

This was an email sent, claiming to be from "abuse dept" of the BBB with an incident # saying I needed to click a link and read the incident and get back to them with a response. It is super fishy because the email address it was sent from is not a bbb.org email address, and the link given to click isn't a bbb link either. I didn't click it!

Below is the email received this morning. I just recently started a new business, but not with that email address.

Joe L Tedder

I searched Joe Tedder on the BBB website and it looks like he is possibly an employee of the ScamPulse.com but the email is strange and I don't believe it is legitimate and feel the link would likely try to corrupt my system. I feel the BBB would likely mail a letter of complaint to our company rather than sending an email to us in my potential junk mail folder in my email.
