I got a voicemail informing me my number was given as a point of contact for another person. The message advised me to call back or press 1. I did neither but googled the number to find others have reported it as a scam.

The person was very rude and ignorant. I kind of talked pretty fast and I couldn't understand the company that he supposedly was calling from and every time I tried to ask he would cut me off. Trying to tell me i got a loan back in 2010 when i worked for ******** ******** *******, which i have never heard of. The person wouldnt let me speak. Trying to tell me i need to resolve this before i end up in court0. I had the same people from a different number trying to tell me the same thing and they were acting the same way. Trying to tell them that I have no clue what they were talking about but yet they had the last four of my social but they didn't have any kind of address or anything on me that they would tell me

They have called my family members with the exact message listed, and have attempted using other numbers to appear to be local agencies, I was notified by family and have had this happen before in the past so I am well aware they are scammers , People just need to not be intimidated by them and don't ever give them information or money

I received a voicemail from a spoofed local number stating the below. When I called back and asked for the company name a second time, an EIN number and company information to verify the company was legit. The person on the phone got very upset and rude. I told them this sounded very "scammish" and not to contact or bother the person they were looking for. They left the below message.

Hello, I'm calling you today as a courtesy. Your number was given as a point of contact to reach _____. Please inform ______ that they are a person of interest in an important matter that requires their immediate attention. Federal law prohibits me from disclosing any further information. If you know this person please press one now or contact us directly at 833-883-2793. Again that phone number is 833-883-2793. Thank you for your help today.

Got a call from this number saying my mother was a "person of interest" and that I was listed as a contact number for her, then that due to federal law they could not disclose any information. They said "if you know this person, press 1", I did and a person answered so I hung up. They left the above number to call back, but I'll be blocking and ignoring any future contact.

I don't know how they have my family's number without hacking my phone because this is the message that they left to 2 of my kids with different area codes to contact them: "Hello, I'm calling you today as a courtesy.
