Wynter Spirit Shepherds- John West (Breeder) Reports & Reviews (4)

My mom was the one who initially found the website with the shepherds and we immediately contacted them because we couldn't believe the deal on the dogs. They were very friendly and responded very quickly to all my questions and gave lots of information. They said that in order to put a hold on the dog we wanted. It all sounded legitimate when we were talking to them. My parents were on the way down there and called me in a panic stating this is more then likely a scam and sent me this site that showed previous other scams. Of course now I panicked because I sent my name, email and address to these people because that's what they had her do as well. So now we are panicking on what to do...

My wife and I were looking to purchase a German Shepherd puppy and found this website on line. We sent an e-mail to contact them about our interest in one of the puppies they had advertised. They contacted us via text to say that the puppy was still available and followed up by sending a few pics of the puppy. They even sent pics of the parents when I requested to see them. After we confirmed our interest in purchasing the puppy, we received a call from the breeder. He asked us a list of questions to make sure that we would be a good fit for one of their puppies. Everything seemed to be on the up and up. I did have someone that I know in the law field do a little bit of research just to make sure there wasn't something that I was missing. Once again, everything seemed to check out. They sent us a bill of sale, which I was able to e-sign and send back to them. When it came to the payment process, they wanted us to do payment via Cash app, Zelle or Apple Pay. We don't use any of those apps, so went ahead and set up the Apple Pay. They sent us a # to make the payment to. After attempting payment to that #, it did not go through, so the breeder gave us another # to try. This time it did go through, but it took a couple of days for Apple Pay to approve. Once payment was complete, the breeder confirmed that they had received the payment and they would go ahead and get the puppy ready for transport. Part of the deal was that they would ship the puppy and have it delivered to our doorstep via a Nanny. That's where the story takes an interesting twist! The next day, we received an e-mail with the tracking information on our new puppy. It listed the departure time and the time that it would arrive at our doorstep. Several hours later, we received an "Urgent Request for Insurance" e-mail from the shipping company. They stated that our puppy was in Oklahoma City, OK and we need to provide a pet insurance policy in the amount of $499. This would be refundable, minus some sort of fee. That is when I got sick to my stomach and had the feeling that something was terribly wrong. I tried contacting the breeder to find out what this was all about and got absolutely NO response! I call all the #'s that I had and texted numerous times. I then contacted the Pet Transport by text, as that ended up being the only way to reach them. Some guy called me back with the same accent as the breeder that I had made the purchase with. I asked him what this was all about, and his response was that the e-mail was sent to me only as I was now the owner of the puppy, and I needed to follow the instructions in the e-mail. The instructions stated how to make the payment and that for every day the puppy was in their custody, I would incur a charge of $50. If I did not do this, Legal Penalties will follow including pet abandonment and illegal shipping of live animals with no insurance. After frantically doing some Google searching, I found something regarding the very same situation with another puppy buyer. They had been HAD for 3 times what I had spent as they done everything that had been asked of them, with no puppy to show for it.
Please be aware of "Wynter Spirit Shepherd" German Shepherd Breeders and "Ready Rides Delivery". These people may be one and the same for all I know. They are nothing but an EVIL, LOW-DOWN, [censored] OF THE EARTH SCAM OUTFIT!

This happened to me too, but when I tried to contact the breeder they blocked my number. They asked for way too much money that wasn’t necessary they told me everything was ready to go and a nanny would drop of the dog, but they kept sending me emails about the dogs shots, insurance, etc. I lost around $2,000 I was so happy to get the puppy my parents told me something was up and I didn’t think of it I did some research on it and found out that they scammed and took my money. I was upset that my puppy wasn’t coming or if there was any.

The prices are too good to pass up, but let's be honest, it just too good to be true. Because it is, those people are liars, and scamming people for puppies. Everything they did was questionable. Talking through text. When a "important" decision needed to be made, instead of calling, they sent an e-mail. They have my number, we were texting each other, why the e-mail? They "shipped" the dog, but it was held at its first stop because its needed a crate (the crates varied in sizes; ranging from $800 - $1500) to get on a flight, which is also a bit weird because it had to be crate to be shipped of to make it to the first destination. Obviously feeling weird about the situation, I attempted to get in touch with the seller and the so-called "Ready-Ride" and neither answered the phone. I tried reaching them for hours and nothing. This is something that shouldn't happen to people, it's sad they have to lie and scam to get cash in their pockets because they're lazy a-holes. Get a [censored]ing job like everyone else. DON'T TRUST WYNTER SPIRIT SHEPHERDS, THEY ARE MERELY THEIVES!
