I was contacted regarding a typing job. It was to format a story/book (several pages) through Telegram. I did the work and submitted it and they were very pleased. However, when it came to paying me through CashApp they indicated I needed to purchase an ID card for $200. But the contract with them was for $800 and they said the $200 would be reimbursed as soon as the ID card was submitted with payment. I asked the name of the company, and they indicated it was CafeMedia with website https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/caf-media so I went online and tried to contact someone through the website. I used an automatic bot it reported it was not them. I then went back to Telegram and told them that I would not pay for the ID. They tried to limit the time available for me to make payment and at that point I just said it was not worth the time spent and I would not pay for the ID. They did drop the fee down to $100 but I still did not make any payment. They also wanted me to make the payment through CashApp with Bitcoin. Which I know nothing about, so I just told them that I was not interested in payment. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am so tired of dealing with all of the online job market scams.
