Received letter in the mail. The program coordinator was listed as Richard Thomas. Additional phone number for Spanish was (800) 813-6261.

• Aug 17, 2023

Letter saying I need to call them immediately for a service contract on my vehicle.

• Aug 01, 2023

Fairly official looking letter in a blank envelope with no business name, no return address, no business address, and an 800 number. Trying to sell a fake warranty. I am 100% willing to bet that my recent shopping online for insurance resulted in one of those companies selling my information to this scammer. Beware!
Could definitely fool the elderly or young people

Got the exact same letter, Aug. 10, 2023, the only difference is mine is signed by "Mark Smith, Program Coordinator, 1-800-486-9611" - all else is the same scam.

Generic email regarding my brand new (167 miles) 2023 Ford . Reported that my manufacturer warranty was about to expire. There was no provided email, no provide web site, company name is made up (number ties to a "phoenix warranty services".

No return address, no address on envelope and the postal service delivers? I hold USPS responsible for delivering this type of mailing no matter how much income they generate! This is a scam and the government is allowing it to happen using their means of transportation and man hours, not to mention the aggravation the American people have to deal with this! Its a shame!

I too received a postal mail that looked like a warranty expiration at quick glance, but it didn’t look quite right. It felt like ‘phishing’ and sure enough, checking a few places on the internet confirmed suspicions.
“Final Notice” Scam

Mail received with my name, address, car make and year. Did nothing with it as it looked suspicious but it could easily be mistaken for something legit.

• Jul 08, 2023

Simply getting mail asking me to call to update vehicle coverage for a car I have never owned. Comes with a check for a registration voucher for$199.00

• Dec 16, 2023

Look closer, It is not a check and it says so.

• Jul 05, 2023

I knew off the bat this was a scam. Because I never had a driver's license in my life & never owned a car in my life. So yea definitely a scam. How do I come about this. That's crazy cause a senior can get easily scammed for thier money. I hope this can get looked into. I'm not the only one.

A "Richard Jones" sent us a letter in the mail (no return address listed anywhere) letting us know our Vehicle Service Contract and or Factory Warranty was about to expire. They wanted us to call with our VIN number and a made up Customer ID number that they supplied. I reached out to our car salesman who recently sold us the car and he said it was a scam and to not call or respond.

- Tacoma, WA, USA • Jun 23, 2023

A fake car insurance company try to sell me a fake insurance claim that they said was for a car I don’t even own or have history with AT ALL!

• Jun 17, 2023

This was sent to my 13-year-old daughter. Although it definitely appears fraudulent, I called Equifax to ensure that it is.

• Jun 17, 2023

This letter was sent to my 13-year-old daughter, telling her that the vehicle identification number and mileage was needed on a 2021 Chevrolet. Because she is a minor I was concerned about a breach and her Equifax information. The letter is fraudulent and there was no breach thankfully.
