Scam website impersonating USPS took my credit card info
Few days later, I noticed a charge of $109.50 was posted to my credit card statement, which indicate the alleged scammer, who had already obtained my previous credit card information, attempted to make another purchase. I contacted my credit card company informing the purchase was supposedly declined. Since I did not make another attempt to purchase, that means the alleged scammer made the purchase on my behalf and therefore, it was unauthorized. My credit card company issued a refund shortly after.
The alleged scammer stated they are "the first official postage brokerage company in the United States" with a corporate office in Fresno, CA. The "local" store address is listed as 1145 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22324, USA on the "About Us" page, but the "Contact Us" page has 1100 Wythe Street as the address, which belongs to an actual USPS physical store. Upon researching the 1145 Wythe Street address, it did not appear to be a legitimate address. The closest street numbers show a row of residential homes.
I did receive the stamps in the mail, but I was not able to verify whether or not the stamps were counterfeit or legitimate.
