USPS Imposter Reports & Reviews (706)

This is a scam trying to get personal information from those who follow the link. I received this text twice within 2 weeks:

USPS: the arranged delivery for the parcel 1z40732 has been changed. Please confirm here: z2fxc.info/6uB4YXa0PV

I received a text message on my work phone claiming to be from USPS in regards to a delayed shipment. The words of the text are as follows: "USPS - arranged dispatch for your shipment 1z01523 got postponed. Make sure to confirm here: z4fmv.info/Im0CRtgh5M"

That is an uppercase i and not a lowercase L in the link (for those whose text is ambiguous).

Working in an IT position in an office means I have items shipped in and out continuously, but never have I received an email like this. This is a "smishing" scam, much like phishing but using SMS to reach individuals in order to obtain their personal data. I opened the link on a generic connected PC using a private browser and it loads a very quick page (itsclosingtime.com/) that then immediately redirects to Google.com

I was made aware of a sex trafficking scam that was posing as USPS. The company has stated that they will not contact you from a phone number nor will the item number be as short as the ones provided in the text message. If you clicked the link stating that updated delivery information was available, that would send you location to sex traffickers in the area. When I made a post about this on Facebook, a commenter said that they had clicked the link and fund were withdrawn from his checking account. I cannot confirm the validity of this but he claims it to be true.

Got the following text message:

"USPS: the arranged delivery for the package ******* has been changed. Please confirm here: z3faz.info/**********”

Before clicking on the link, I wanted to verify the Host name “z3faz.info” in browser, it was in not reachable. Later I searched on google with the message content, which showed lots of information that it is a SCAM. Hence, I didn’t click on the link.

This is the text message that I received from phone number +1 (210) 419-7215:

"USPS: the arranged delivery for the parcel 1z21737 got changed. Please confirm here: z2fxc.info/6uzoVlyLBj"

I clicked the link from my laptop and it opened a new tab on my Google Chrome, taking me to Google's home page. That is when I knew something was fishy so I searched the internet for that message and found multiple articles on it being a scam.

I deleted all of my passwords saved on my Google Chrome and now have to go in one by one to change all my passwords just in case. Sucks.

Received text message saying: USPS - arranged delivery for your package 1z41264 got postponed! Make sure to verify here:” and then a .info link made up of random letters.

- Mineola, TX, USA

I received two messages about a USPS package and a link. The link took me to a fake amazon website and instructed me to fill out a survey to receive a free gift. I filled out the survey and it took me to another website that said I needed to pay $1-$5 to receive my gift(an ipad pro). I was then redirected to another website to input my personal info(Name, city, email address etc) then I was redirected again to another page to input my credit card information. But Instead of inputting my card information on a sketchy website like this, I decided to research this type of opportunity and I found that it’s a scam. Don’t do it people!

I did not order anything online through my phone, but I received a message saying “the arranged delivery your package (a package number) got changed. Make sure you confirm here:” and a link to a website.I did not think much of it and thought maybe I added my phone number to a delivery I made through my computer, but then I remember people warning me about these messages through social media and looked it up. It is a scam to get information of my phone.

Received a text message; "USPS: arranged dispatch of the parcel _______ has been postponed! Please verify here > ________"

Text about fake usps package and scam link attached

I received a text message saying quote "USPS: the arranged delivery for the shipment 1z11451 has been changed. Please confirm here: z2fxc.info/6uEr6bD3B7" with a link at the bottom. I knew I hadn't ordered anything that would be shipped by the USPS so I copied the message and threw it in google and boom, first link that comes up is about a scam.
