Phone call this afternoon with the woman's voice saying "Can you hear me now?". I responded with "WHO's THIS?" but a friend (I was on another call at the time) warned me to hang up IMMEDIATELY! I did, and I looked it up on the web and they advised to put in a report to the BBB. So here 'tis. I am not answering phone calls anymore from unknown numbers, period.

Received two different calls where operator said "hello" and then paused. She then said there was a problem with her headset and then said she could hear me and asked if I could hear her. Then she said I'd recently stayed at a hotel and she had an offer for me. At this point I hung up.

"Can you hear me?" WAs what i heard and then as an automatic reaction said, "yes!" but then realizing this was a scam hung up immediately. i don't know if this will come back to haunt me as some sort of agreement, but I did not agree to anything at this time.

instead of asking "are you a homeowner", I was asked "is this working for " and I said yes and they immediately hung up. I just read about the "yes" scam. This just happened about 30 seconds ago so I'm not sure if I'm going to be having any issues.

A person (possibly a recording or computer generated response) stated that I stayed at one of their resorts recently and wanted wanted to offer a few stay at one of their other resorts with free travel and food. I asked 3 times about what resort I supposedly attended but each time they tried to get me to agree to be transferred to their travel agent to set up the travel. They never provided a name of any company or concrete reason they were contacting me so after the 3rd time of trying to refer my to their travel agent I ended the call.

Answer phone, what sounds to be a "live" voice says, "Hello, can you hear me?" with some garbled noises in the background (as if there are connectivity issues). Unfortunately I responded "Yes" then realized what it was...The recording continued with "You've been pre-selected for a cruise". I hung up.

The call had a brief moment of static and the woman asked, "Can you hear me?" I responded, "Ya, hello?". I recently read that there is a scam where the caller asks if you can hear them then they record your "Yes" and use it to ship items to you and later ask for payment stating they have a recording of the victim saying, "Yes."

It was a recorded call but voice sounds likes she's clearing her throat or something and then says something like,

"Sorry about that. Can you hear me now?" Then I may have said, "Yes." I don't recall. Then she launches into a spiel about winning a travel package to Orlando. Soon i try to interrupt her and soon realize it's just a taped message. I keep saying, "Stop Talking!" but she just keeps on. When she asked to speak to an operator I hung up. I fully believe this to be a scam.
