an automated phone message left on my phone saying my social security number was being used for criminal activity and legal enforcement would take place if i didn't talk to them then they would proceed with there legal proceedings. I intend to call back and tell them i am reporting them to the ScamPulse.com and the FCC after i have done so.

.

Computer voice claims fraud refers to above-referenced telephone number that cannot be tracked as to who they are. Threat of compliant filed at Federal courthouse and DEA and threat of arrest if you don't call back. Don't believe the federal government works this way. Sorry no call back from me.

I received a call from the number above. My caller ID indicated that it was coming from North Richland Hills, Texas. The person painting our house is from there so I answered the call. The woman talking asked me a question about our house, and I answered yes. She then hung up. I called back several times. The first time the same woman (Naomi) answered, kept asking me yes/no questions, and hung up when I answered with questions of my own. I called back several more times but kept getting just an automated system that let me put my phone number on their internal do not call list (which I did) or talk to an agent. Every time I selected the option of talking to an agent, the system said no one was available and gave me their email address. I did not email them.

Woman caller represents herself as being from Gifting Department (Company not mentioned) & then asks "Can you hear me?" to solicit

"yes" response.

- Wheeling, IL, USA

Caller talks until I say the word "yes" than hangs up. He knows my name, my business name and location. simpley asks if I still own the company. I answer "yes" and he hangs-up with a recording of me saying "yes". I have no idea what this will be used for but LOOK-OUT

robocall says: Your number is being used in fraudulent activity somewhere in south Texas and press 1 to speak to an officer.

I posted an add to sell some things on Craigslist. DO NOT click the box that allows your phone number to be seen, this is where I made a mistake.

I started getting tons of inquiries asking for either a Google Voice number (scam, DO NOT share that number with anyone) or I was asked if they could mail a cashiers check, which I know is a scam.

This person and several others were asking to mail me a check then have their movers come and pick up the item.

This scammer somehow used our own landline number -- at least that is what shows up in the caller ID -- it was a woman's voice reporting that "we've been trying to contact you. Your IP has been compromised in several countries and we must change it. We will be disconnecting your IP in 48 hrs."

Automated voice telling me that my Social Security number had fraudulent activity and that I needed to call 8503085629 before they began legal proceedings. They called 3 times in one day. Knowing this was a scam, I called the number to ask for my number to be removed, and the person on the line told me "no" and pretended to be an Officer of the Social Security Administration. I informed them that I would report to the Better Business Bureau.

Left message saying social security number was bad

- Whittier, CA, USA

Called and said I made a payment on my computer loan. I don’t have a computer loan. When I told him he was a scam he cursed me out and hung up on me.

- Houston, TX, USA

I wouldn’t have answered but I was expecting another call. They asked me if I was my name, I didn’t say anything and they asked me if I was my name again. They only used my first name and I said yes. Then I hung up. Now I am kicking myself because I don’t know what can happen. I’m prepared for next time, I will just say who is this? But I was caught off guard and I said yes. Please tell me nothing horrible can happen.

Man called claiming to be our grandson and said he had been arrested. Our grandson is in school today. We checked to be sure. Another man was on the the phone claiming to be his lawyer. They wanted us to "bail him out of jail". They said to go to Macey's dept. store and get five 1,000.00 gift certificates then call them to give them the numbers on the gift certificates. The number he gave us to call was, 438-988-1721. They also said not to tell anyone.. The person claiming to be our grandson said not to tell his father. The first thing we did was call his father. We knew it was a scam, but wanted our son to know what happened.

Received a call from two separate state area codes (Chicago and San Diego). Same woman on the line asking to confirm your name and address. ( she says your name, and then asks You to state your address for “verification”.). When asked what matter it is regarding she tells you it is confidential and you need to give your address to know what the call is about

- Newport News, VA, USA

The call offers to provide a service regarding extended warranty for a vehicle (or something) and asks if you want to speak to an agent. I wanted to speak to someone who I could ask to remove me from their call list so I uttered the word yes and immediately remembered this is a scam tactic. Now I am worried I was recorded.

- Dallas, TX, USA

I have received two calls from someone stating, "This is Grace with the hearing administrator. This call may be recorded Can you hear me?" I made the mistake of saying "yes" to see what the scam was and then the call hangs up. I goggled this an discovered this is some type of scam that could possibly be used to confirm a purchase. I do not have caller ID so I cannot provide the telephone number.

Scammer left a message that I was eligible to be part of the Navient Lawsuit for student loans. Called and all they want to do is refinance your student loans. It has nothing to do with the Navient Lawsuit. They lie and say they reduce your loan debt by 90%.

This number is a scammer. Their stealing  and Associates number after they call you 3 or 4 times from number *** threatening you in a voicemail if you don't answer. They keep calling over and over, in a foreign accent stating there legal action taken against you. They dont leave any other details, but plenty of voicemails. The first time they called, my phone screened the *** as scam. Ironically, I Google them and the numberr is all over Google with several complaint of the same issue. After I Google them, they then stole a local phone number from a random lawyer to call me from after I Google the first one. If you Google the number they originally call it comes up as a scam. The second number is a scam too. There's no dial back option from the local number they steal . It's a sad scare tactic and a lame waste of time

RECEIVED CALLS(cell) ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AT ABOUT 4-5 PM. ONE FROM TOYAH TX AND THE OTHER FROM LUFKIN TX.

JUST A RECORDING STATING THAT IF I DIDN'T CALL BACK THEY WOULD PROCEED WITH LEGAL ACTION. I CALLED ONE AND IT WAS BUSY. .VOICE WAS SAME ON BOTH CALLS BUT THEY DID NOT STATE A MESSAGE OR REASON FOR CALL. READ TODAY VIA INTERNET THAT THERE WAS A SIMILAR SCAM.

Was called by a "Helpline Service" for Toshiba computer support refund service from (844) 771-7336. They were obviously trying to steal their victim's credit account numbers just like other tech support scams according to the FTC.
