Contacted what I thought was HP Support for tech help with a printer. They asked many questions to identify the printer and “troubleshoot” the problem. They directed us to website and had us click on settings, etc. but not sure they ever gained remote access. They lied to say that issue was related to a company glitch and 5-yo printer was still under warranty and they would replace, BUT none in house so they would refund MSP of $369. Asked us to complete a form with contact info, bank name, etc. but we did not do that. We hung up and checked computer for any suspicious activity. It sounded legitimate but when they offered refund so easily we grew very suspicious.
