I received a fake job offer of Remote Social Media Assistant from someone claiming to be SpaGo MedSpa's talent recruiter, Brittany Kowalczyk. I applied on SpaGo MedSpa's Linkedin page. They had me fill out a questionnaire in place of a virtual interview and responded promptly, and within 2 hours they sent me a "conditional job offer." They first mentioned that I would start on March 18, 2026, and then that I would meet with their digital marketing team on March 8, 2026. The biggest red flag was when they sent me a mobile check of $3,765 to do a mobile deposit with my banking institution.

I have worked at three companies so far and none of them have sent me a check to cash in before starting work, so I was alarmed. I called the number posted on @spagoerie Instagram, 814-860-4995, to confirm if I was being scammed. The customer service representative confirmed and I gave her the impersonating Human Resources Manager's name (included in the pdf) David K. Rodriguez.
