My husband got a 2 calls from a cell phone number, they said they were with social security administration and fraudulent activity had shown up on his ssn and that his social security would be deactivated. I knew it was a scam social security doesn’t call people and they don’t use a cell phone. I tried calling both numbers and 1 sent me to a Verizon message that the number was not in service. The said this number has been disconnected. Please be careful, these guys are savvy.

Received a call from someone named Audrey with Social Security and they said they were calling her back to see if she applied for disability. I responded okay and they hung up. I called back and the recording stated that it was Audrey with Social Security and the call was being recorded.

I've received two calls from Social Security. He has an accent. He said my Social Security number has been tied to fraud through a vehicle rented in my name in Texas. He said blood had been found in the vehicle, and they are running DNA tests on the blood right now. He said that because I was rude, he had contacted police and they were on their way to my home to arrest me.

I got a voice mail from Social Security asking me to call 844-450-0509. I called back and spoke to a woman who said her name was Alexa Johnson. She said she needed my case ID to figure out why they had called. She asked for the last four digits of my Social Security number which I gave her. She was hard to understand, a strange accent. I've had my identity stolen in the past.

I have some local enemies who could be behind this as they have spoofed many telephone numbers to send threatening texts over the years. However, in case it is not them, I would like the public to know about this scam.

I was contacted by an individual who claimed I was a victim of identity theft. I was told that a group had used my social security number to create hundreds of false identities, that a white Toyota car had been bought in my name and abandoned by the Texas and Mexico border and I was libel for all financial transactions. When I tried to ask questions I in so much words was told to shut up and listen. I knew it was a fraud because the Social Security Administration do not contact you by phone. I did get a word in and asked them what was the social number used for this scam? He then wanted to know did I want him to verify the social security number and I said yes; I was then immediately switched to a voicemail that said that phone number was no longer in service. I then called the Niceville Police Department to report the scam and was told that they were aware of the scam and had received numerous phone calls about this particular scam.They said they did not want the number or address I was given so t threw it away. I did block the number but I am still getting voicemail from different numbers trying to reach me with this particular scam. The first number did indicate that it was from US Government in Washington DC. Other phone numbers were 14433299113, 1120273664294

Within 24 hours from the phone numbers I typed above, I received multiple calls related to either my social security being stopped OR money for police.

To stop the annoyance of these repeated calls, for this last call, I pressed 1 to get a person to tell them NOT to call me, and that if they continued calling my number, I would report them to the FBI - Federal Bureau of Investigation. That person rudely replied, "Go ahead ! Go ahead." I hung up and now I am reporting the numbers to you. I saw that the FBI.gov scam website connection lead me to this ScamPulse.com website.
