Type of a scam Credit Cards

I got a statement from a collections agent saying i owed money to Rex Pathology [censored] . AP and i was confused becouse i thought i had paid this bill , turns out my hubby who i gave the bill to did not and he did not give the bill back to be still august 30 so i am very sorry . i went about to try to pay your bill it was a journey one that made me question is this a very intricat scam . I am going to report this all to the better business Bureau , i want u to be aware that u might be being scammed . (this is the same lettle i sent to the billing department of Rex pathology ) this is their number is 855-552-2505)

so this is what happened to me

i opened mail , i called SCA COLLECTIONS 180033447713 ,252 355-5500

I asked whatwas this about... they sent me to this number 1800-849-8085 i called them and it just felt wrong all my sences were going off lots of RED FLAGS in brain says wARNING ! WARNING! I hung up on the guy and

i then called my gut doctors billing office and they give me rex central billing number 989-974-2222

and they trans forward me to another number and they took awhile but the guy told me that i could not pay him because it had already gone to collection and they could not take the money and this was the number i need to call 1800-991-5265 plus he said i had to tell them these letters PRCNC_A and THEN give them this account # 20443700804 i did call but i did not hear them on the other side so i hung up after that whole ordeal my husband at that point gives me my paper bill and i at that point have my real account # which i then went to pay the bill u where having computer issues and my card was not going through i was getting on to pay to day and it had at somepoint gone throught . All this happed on Aug 30 th 2021 . and now i am here letting u all know . now this might be all legit but onthe other hand it really felt not at all i felt like people where gather info on me that they should alreeady have and i was intervertly giving it to them becouse it sounded like what u hear when u go to a doctors office or hospital on the wait time and all that jazzy it sound legit it just doest feel legit does that make any sence ? when i got off the phone and thought about it i was like wow this is the most intricate and would be the hardest to prove because its part of the rex network wihich means some ones went to alot of trouble if that is truely the case but if it is think of how much money they could pull off and know one would be the wiser
