I attempted to buy product that was priced at 3 dollars and tried to charge 3.98

The scammer, Andrew Johnson, has listings of tiny houses for sale for under $25,000. He uses other builders' and legit tiny house company's photos to lure in buyers on his facebook page. I was suspicious because he has no website, no phone number and no complete photos of these tiny homes in his supposed workshop. Andrew Johnson pushes hard to make a sale, always claiming that many buyers want the home you are interested in, and that if you'll pay a $500 deposit, he will deliver it to you, at no extra charge! I was looking at a tiny home that sleeps 2, and I live in Idaho. This guy, Andrew, showed me photos and said he could deliver the nice home he showed me, a 3 bedroom not so tiny home, free of charge, if I just pay $500 down. He kept saying that there is no risk, because if I didn't like it, the money would be refunded! I did a reverse image search, and found that the home he was showing me and quoted me $26,000 on, was actually over $154,900. He had stolen the images. This was a scam and he tried to pressure me into just paying quickly. Thankfully I got wise.

This is a fake Facebook ad representing a storefront as Aspen Boutique selling merchandise and goods that are not quality clothing as pictured in the ad. Cheap material knockoffs that are not worth the money.

It appeared to be a recording, it started out saying, "Hi, this is David from Walmart. A preauthorized PlayStation 5 with a special edition of pulse 3D headset has been ordered on your Walmart account for the amount of $919. 45, To cancel your order or to connect with one of our representatives, please press 1.” This was on a repeated tape, it ran over 4 times on my voicemail.

The scammer is Anglan******* acting like it is Joann's fabric going out of business. I ordered somethings not realizing it wasn't Joann's until I realized I haven't received the order yet and looked at the name on my bank account and came to this website.

I made the mistake of trusting Excalibur Auto Body Repair, and I deeply regret it. My dealership recommended them because they’re supposedly a certified shop for my vehicle. Despite reading poor reviews and seeing their F rating on the Better Business Bureau, I chose to give them a chance because I trusted my dealership. That trust was completely misplaced.

Let me be clear about what happened to my car: my back right bumper was slightly dislodged from a minor incident—something as small as backing into a bicycle. It wasn’t ripped off, there was no major structural damage, just a minor issue that needed a reasonable fix. Yet, what I experienced at Excalibur was nothing short of insulting and predatory.

From the moment I arrived, Matt, the representative, barely looked at my car. He didn’t ask what happened, didn’t crouch down to properly inspect the damage—he just glanced at it and immediately started making outrageous claims. He said:

• My wheel was bent in, meaning my suspension was damaged

• There were cracks “holding” my wheel, which made no sense

• My car had “cracks” in the bodywork, which were actually just the natural seams between panels.

• I needed a full rear-end replacement, including color matching and unnecessary repairs

And then came the $1,300 quote. For a barely dislodged bumper.

At that moment, I knew I was being scammed, but I stayed polite and asked for a written quote. When I went inside to tell Jorge I was leaving, his entire attitude shifted—as if he knew I had caught onto their game.

I immediately drove to another body shop with an A+ ScamPulse.com rating and five-star reviews (minus a few fours), and the difference was night and day:

• The tech actually got on the ground to inspect my car

• He asked me what happened before making any assumptions

• He buffed out the scuff marks right in front of me

• He confirmed my tire was fine, explaining the slight tilt was just how my car is designed

• His quote? $210.

I walked away furious. Excalibur didn’t just try to overcharge me—they outright lied to my face to scare me into unnecessary repairs. If you’re considering going to Excalibur Auto Body Repair, DON’T. Run in the opposite direction. You’ve been warned.

I ordered a sewing machine through the Joann app. Joann is in liquidation, but at the time they were still taking orders through their app. I was charged only once and for the amount of $35.89, which is the amount I expected. I got an email with the order information and a link to check on the status. Every day the link showed that the machine was supposedly moving through the system from the warehouse to the shipper. Then it sat. It was given to the shipper on Mar 6, 2025, and has been sitting there ever since. Today is the 16th.

The only way I have found to contact them is through a third-party company that wants me to pay £2.99 for them to print the letter I wrote on their contact page, put it in an envelope, and mail it. To do this, of course, I would have to give them my credit card information, which I'm not going to do.

What are the next steps I need to follow?

Said I purchased a laptop at Walmart would be delivered tomorrow and my bank would be charged. Address of delivery is

49 Arcadia Ct

Albany, New York 12205.

I informed him I didn’t place any order and if he charged my account ( which he couldn’t tell me what the account was) I would turn it over to my attorney immediately. He then asked for my name. I told him I would not give him that. He wouldn’t tell me who the name on the delivery address was.

I was looking for a tractor. I found The Gears Garage website. I was astounded by the low prices which made me suspicious. The John Deere tractor I was looking at was priced at $7700. I spoke to a foreign man who was hard to understand. He said it's 80 cents a mile to ship it. He said I had 7 days to return it if I didn't like it. He said I would have to wire the money.

- New Britain, CT, USA

I saw Gears Garage on FB. I was looking for tractor with a backhoe. They wanted $7000 for it. I talked to Greg. He sounded Indian. He sent an agreement. I said I was going to look into it further before I made a decision. I told him I would get back to him Monday.

- Granville, IL, USA

I was looking for an excavator trackhoe. I found a John Deere online at Gears Garage. My husband called, but couldn't understand him, so he asked me to talk to him. I'm Hispanic. He said his name was Brad Hernandez. I thought I had never met a "Brad" who is Hispanic. I asked for the serial number, and he gave me one. I reviewed the customer reviews. One of the names used was Hernandez. My grandparents taught me to speak Spanish. I began speaking to him in Spanish. He said he didn't speak Spanish. I told him his grandparents must be mad at him. He replied, "Oh so sorry grandma", that's when I heard an Iranian accent. He told me to wire transfer the money to Bank of America in Columbus, OH. He gave me the routing number, and bank number. I told him I was uncomfortable paying for something I haven't seen. He told me not to worry that it was a totally secure website. He called back a half hour later and asked if I had gone to the bank. I told Brad I was interrupted but hadn't gotten a chance. He told me not to forget the receipt. I asked why he needed the number. He said because he has a lot of sales, and wanted to put me on early delivery. He said it was .80 cents a mile, which is cheaper than the typical $1 a mile. I told my husband I was calling the Better Business Bureau and looking up the address. Then I called the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and I was told to call the Secretary of State. The OH SOS asked for the company name and Business owner name. He told me the business was not registered. He told me to ask for their EIN number, and they will stop calling. I called Brad and asked for his EIN number. He said he would check with his boss and put me on hold. I called back multiple times and it just rings. So, I called Bank of America and asked them to verify whether they have an account. The teller told me not to wire any money. I called the Columbus Police Department and they said there is nothing they could do about it.

I was charged for $25 on 1/1/25 @ 10:10 from what only says "www.freeshipments.com 6oo" on my cashass card. I have spent weeks looking for any i formation and i can not find anything about who these people are or where they're from. Luckly my card was locked so they were denied and no money was lost but it would have not been the case had my card been unlocked, but it seems like i was not the only person who was scammed bythis and no one can figure out who they are. I dont have much more information but if tou need anything to help take down these scammers please feel free to contact me

Classic driveway resealing scam. Had excess asphalt on hand, would give us discount. No paperwork, no business card. Refused due to online review calling his business a scam and he left quickly. Almost fell for it. Thankful for the online review.

I had just purchased a new Vizio TV and was trying to set it up to receive my local channels. I was having trouble with setup and do an internet search and found a website that claimed to be Vizio support. They said that in order to activate my new TV I could pay $49 for a 1-year set up or $89 for a 5-year set up. I didn't think that was right, so I hung up and called Better Business Bureau, which gave me a phone number for the actual Vizio support. I could have lost a lot had I not called BBB. Thank you!

- New Albany, OH, USA

Geathers Fottys 3646 S Wolcott Ave Chicago IL 60609. I looked them up and there is an article where they're running a "brushing scam". I contacted them to see where the dress came from since I didn't order it. They've contacted me back and want my phone number and address. I am not going to give it to them. The dress, according to them, was ordered from someone in PA. They suggested we might have similar addresses. I'm not in PA. I'm in NC. I don't know what to do with the dress. It's an $80 bridesmaids dress. I'm 62.
