The product that I received was not the product that was advertised. I ordered four pairs of boots. The boots that I received were very cheaply made, not the namebrand that was advertised and shipped poorly. When I contacted them to receive my refund, they told me that I could receive partial refund, but it would take a long time and could keep the items. When I asked for the full refund and stated that I did not want the items just my money back they told me that I had to send the boots back to China and then give them the tracking number, all this has transpired an email it’s been a lot of back-and-forth with not really getting anywhere. They sold me a fake product and I just want a refund and they’re giving me the runaround.

- Carbondale, PA, USA

Pretended to be CVS and offered free items with having to pay only shipping cost of $5.82 and wanted Mastercard to receive that discounted shipping cost which I did not have and utilized a different card which was suppose to be a shipping cost of $7.95. Discount was only offered for Mastercard.

Saw ad for Bed,Bath and Beyond on Facebook. Clicked on site. Bargains appeared too good to be true but since they were going out of business, I figured any money is better than a loss for them. They took my money and I never received a confirmation email. Makes me sick.

- Dublin, OH, USA

I am 87 years old and it is ridiculous the number of calls I get a day. Here are the numbers: Hilton Grand 407-393-1516 & 407-393-1616, AT&T 614-359-7655 & 614-301-6357, Spectrum 614-510-6411, 614-223-9091, 614-423-1130 & 614-465-5592.

I was called by a person who claimed to be with Verizon and said there appeared to be fraudulent activity on my account, the purchasing of a phone. They sent me a link to verify my account, which I clicked on (I later learned I should not have). Then they had all the information on my account. They explained they needed to cancel it and restart it and wanted me to pay $278 through Zelle (my last bill amount). They said if I didn't do it, my service would have to be cut off. I decided not to do it, which it turns out was a good thing!

Called by Amazon customer service agent about an order I did ot make. After denying making any orders from Amazon, was transferred to Socian Security Adnistration Identity Theft division

When I asked for a call back number to verify his authenticity, he hung up.

The only thing they asked for, and I gave them, wad my last name (I spelled it) and my zip code.

It was a sponsored ad on Facebook claiming to be BED Bath & Beyond. I clicked on the ad and was taken to what appeared tp be BB&Y website with catagories like h"home", "bedroom" etc. Just like a real website you click on the category and get a list of merchandise for sale at extremely low prices. Since the real store was closing and had been taking drastic cuts in prices I was stupid enough to think it was for real,

My wife came into the room and looked at the website in the top bar was not BB&B's site. She looked it up on Google and saw it was a fraudulent site. I immediately went to the credit card web site that I used and reported it to them.
