I am a Detective with the Hart Police Department, Oceana County, Michigan. I recently conducted an investigation into a fraud that occurred via Facebook of a relator company listing and selling a residence in Pentwater, MI which was already sold by Coldwell Banker. The seller (Mary Rental) solicited $60.00 from my victim and also asked for an additional $750.00 to see the house. When I started the investigation, I noted no phone number on the Facebook account or business address. I also messaged the company, explaining who I was and was immediately blocked. My victim is only out the $60.00 and never paid the $750.00.

I received a text message on my phone from "Spectrum" offering to lower my cable bill if I would purchase $570 in Target gift cards. On March 9, 2024, I made a purchase at Venice Souvenirs. I purchased two sweaters, one for $30 and the other for $25. This amount was confirmed by the sales woman and cashier that were working there that night. I made this purchase with my debit card and the day after I saw a charge of $107 from this establishment. I went online to get in contact with the manager in order to have my issue resolved and they did not have a working number. After reading several reviews, I realized that I was scammed. There are several people who have been scammed by this establishment and have been charged outrageous and non-authorized amounts to their debit cards.

I'm 85 years old. Two days ago, I got a message asking if I wanted my FB pictures to be used. I googled a number for Facebook. My friend talked to them. I don't have a computer. I only have a cell phone. Then I tried to send messages, but the filter blocked them. Then it went away, and I was able to use them. I can't change my passwords.

On Facebook marketplace i reached out to Christina Chang for a tonneau cover she was selling for a truck. I arrived to a warehouse where i was greeted by another man. Upon opening to install the product it was bent/broken and used where she stated it was new and sealed. I messaged her back on Facebook but shortly after blocked me. I do have screenshots of our conversation if needed. They do have a whole warehouse full of what seems like returns that they are reselling and very active of Facebook and im sure offer up.

Phone call from AT&T Direct TV with an offer for their service. I was instructed to get a Target debit card and load $250 then call them (888 207-2944) with the card number. That $250 would cover the first 5 months of my service.

Second one reads: "Lifelock by Norton order placed Friday the 12th of January, payment method is auto debited form my account $376 plus tax, with confirmation and 858-381-5414." The third one is form McAfee Secure, giving me an invoice number for $299.93, call 1-805-419-9139". And the 4th was from Discover wearhlhostsay.com saying I didn't respond to a request for a copy for a transaction of $27.97. I called Lifelock and McAfee who said they were scams.

Avoid at all costs. This place is a scam. Placed an order and when I asked for shipping details they said I had to add additional $150 for insurance or they couldnt ship. I said no and asked for a refund and they said they couldnt cancel after it shipped. But then tell me they cant ship till $150 paid. So in essence it wasnt shipped and they refuse to refund. So recieved to items I ordered or a refund. I should have checked for there reviews before using. Stay away from these people at all cost! Scam Scam scam
