A scammer claiming to be a representative from Virgin mobile calls you up and tells you you will receive an Apple Watch as a way to say thank you for being a valuable customer. In the meantime, they break into your online Virgin mobile account and contact the company on your behalf to request an upgrade to an iPhone 16. Few days later you receive an iPhone 16 in mail you open it up with excitement and confusion. The scammer calls, you apologizing and saying that a mistake has been made that instead of Apple Watch they send you an iPhone 16. A scammer is very apologetic and tries different tactics from making you feel bad that he will get fired for making that mistake to threatening that if you don’t send it back, they will charge you for it. When you agree to send it back to tell you, they will send you a prepaid shipping label. When you receive an email, which looks like it’s from Virgin mobile however the email address is slightly different. You being an honest person, you print out the label and you take the phone with the label to Purolator. Except that the phone is not sent back to virgin but to the scammer. In our case, it was an address in Saskatoon. Then when you receive your bill you notice there is a charge for a new iPhone 16. When you call virgin mobile to ask about the bill and to ask for your Apple Watch they tell you that you’ve been scammed. Fortunately, in our case Virgin mobile told us that we will not have to pay for the phone as we never made the request for it. If this happens to you, you should take the shipping label go outside to get some stones. Make sure that the package is really heavy and send the package to the scammers. Let Purolator charge them lots of money for shipping the stones. You may think of other things that you can send them instead of the phone.

I got a letter from "Payment Card Interchange Fee Settlement" stating there was a Business in my name called "Unicorns Festival Gears" and there is a settlement going on for businesses that accepted Visa or Mastercard. I did not start this business and have no affiliation to this business.

This ad appeared in my Facebook feed as JCPenney. It looked Exactly like a regular JCPenney page. I placed an order on October 14th and I have had no communication from them since. I attempted to contact them but the email was rejected

There is a Facebook page posing as Victors Tiny Homes that is a page of affordable tiny houses. The tiny house supplier page is Compact Haven Tiny Homes. Since they didn't have a website we decided to look them up on the BBB. There is already a review on here that they are scammers. Do not buy from them!!

I received an email that looked like it was from CVS for a first aid kit for $10.95. I wash charged that amount and then realized I was charged again for $79.95. The company that shows up on the charge is Precious Best Pick.

I booked a Hertz car rental through AAA. Prior to picking up my rental I received an email from Hertz to allowing me to select my vehicle and skip the line. Hertz's website indicated the vehicle (a compact SUV, prepaid) I rented was not available and they were working to assign one to me as soon as possible, but I had several upgrade options at a cost of $30+ per day. I did not select an upgrade, but continued to the rental counter at LAX. When I arrived there were approximately 15 compact SUVs available, ready to go. Although the overall rental was smooth, this clearly looked like a potential bait and switch to a customer who was in a hurry (I was not) and believed the obvious misinformation. Had I selected an upgrade I'm sure it would have been a challenge to get back to my original reservation.

Instacart provides shoppers a referral link in the app. You click on the link and share it with other people who are interested in shopping. If that person uses your link to sign up and does 30 batches in 30 days you get $300. My friend clicked on the link i sent and did over the 30 batches. When i contacted instacart customer service they told me no code was entered for referral. So i clicked on the link in out text. It takes you to instacarts site to sign up. Dont not include a referral code, the code is not filles in on the sign up page. And the place for referral code is closed that you really dont even see it. The would not provide me with any of the company's information to file a complaint or inquire further. As to why this doesnt provide the code its suppose to. I lost $300 in income for them scamming their shoppers with pretty much a blanket referral offer. I have screen shots of my conversation with the help center

I looked up HP printer support on Internet. I dial the number posted and they pretended to be HP technical support. They help me manually with my problem with my printer and it’s the same time since my computer was tied to the same Wi-Fi network they went in and loaded a bunch of software on my network, pretending to be security software and require requested $1399.99. I gave them my American Express credit card number but rapidly figured that this was a scam problem since they were not part of HP and tried to convince me to HP didn’t have any technical support they sorted to them , I contacted HP and they confirmed that I called American Express and canceled my charge on my credit card. I have called HP technical support and had my computer totally re-installed and anything on it that they put on there was deleted. I don’t know how much information they have stolen from me, but I have closed all my bank accounts and credit cards .

She is showing all kind of reborn dolls for sell so i deside to buy one for my daughter for Christmas and when i got paied i paied her the money through chime but then she requested more money for delivery insurance and i told her i am not going to get the dool and send my money back and she blocked me

The vendor lists the product as $39.99 but tried to take $239.99. My bank alert me of the scam risk. My bank and I declined the purchase. Natural Bliss came back 4 days later and took $239.99 from my account with my consent. I looked up the address through Google and a contact number only to find out it's a fake number and address. The ad was found on the News Break app.

Person tried to sell a product listed on Facebook, a chicken coop. We sent a deposit to them through Zelle through this company name. We were sent to a fake address to pick up the item. The person would not respond when we told them that the address was faulty. Since then, multiple of the same listing on Facebook keeps popping up under different names and they are actively trying to continue scamming people.

Residential cleaning company, "Gloss Rags to Riches" Jackson , Tn. Found this company on Facebook and scheduled a cleaning for a future date. At this exact moment, my Facebook was hacked and unrecoverable. $25 charged to my credit card for services that were never performed. I received an email from them saying future appt expired/canceled. I will not click on any of their links. Phone # provided in the email is disconnected. Total scam and hack.
