Publishers Clearing House Reports & Reviews (1693)

Man called my 81 year old mother and told her she had won money and a car from Publisher's Clearing House. He gave her a number to call to verify. I called the number myself and caller id came up as Jamaica. The man called back and asked if I had called the verification number. I told him it had come up as Jamaica. He said that was incorrect and they were out of Las Vegas and proceeded to give me another number to call. I started looking up scams on the ScamPulse.com and found similar things had happened to other people. I had questioned him when he called back the second time and he seemed a little flustered. He didn't bother to call back and see if I had tried the second number he had given me. The phone numbers he had given me were 876-572-1759 and 876-572-1869.

A man who gave the name of Michael Cyler called my 86 year old mother and told her she won the Publisher's Clearing House prize of money and a car. She first needed to get a money gram to 4074 Cyler SP Detroit MI 48238.

The caller asked how much she could send and stated he would call back later.

First name I got message from a friend I thought it was. Had her name and pic. After brief chat she said she had won money from PCH. She gave a link where I could contact them. I went to that link and they said I was a winner of 150,000 they gave me a bunch of info that I would need to present when they delivered my winnings but first I would have to send 1500 to secure my winnings. The second time I won a larger amount but the amount I had to send was less. Now today I get one from FedEx saying they have my package just waiting on payment 3500 dollars

I got a phone call from a man telling me I won $20 million and a Mercedes Benz from Publishers Clearinghouse. He gave me a number to call back "Bank of America", and told me not to give the number to anybody. I'm going to call them to see what this is all about. 805-310-4642

- Bakersville, NC, USA

He called twice and wanted to know if I had entered the sweepstakes and if I had received notifications of my winnings. I hung up and he called back and my son answered and asked to speak with me and my son said scam and he hung up. Each time it said unknown or private caller.

We have received a phone call four days in a row saying we have won from Publishers Clearing. When we say this is a scam they hang up but keep calling back. we are always careful not to say yes to any question. Today they left this phone number 917 900 9230. If you see it do not answer.

Said I had wond money and wanted me to go to bank and open an account and they would call me back.

I was called by this number and informed that I won the publishers sweepstakes , and he wanted my information, the person was drunk or impaired , had a bad accent, and a dog was barking in the background ... I did not give any information, he got rude with me and I hung up...

A guy who said his name was Peter Moore (Badge# 0141) called me on 11/10/17. He told me that he was from Publisher's Clearinghouse and I had won 3.5 million and they had a cashier's check made from Bank of America ready for me. He said I also won a 2018 Mercedes C-Class. He said I would receive $10,000/month and I needed to give a co-beneficiary and I would have to have a release number of 0107109930 to get the money. He said that Jennifer White from JP Law Firm would come as a representative from the law firm. Ashley Robinson would be delivering the check. They claimed that they were in my area. I would needed to give them $299.99. I told them that I thought it was a scam and I didn't believe them and they hung up.

My Mother, living in St. Thomas, Ontario, received a call that made her believe that she had won a new Mercedes and 1.5 Million from Publisher's Clearing House. She had been speaking with them on the phone. She called me to tell about her win. I told her to have this man call me. It was an 876 area code. He called me right away, and actually tried to convince me that she really had won. I asked him why someone needed to take her to the bank to pay a small fee. He said because he and a lawyer would take her there with paperwork to show the bank that it wasn't a fraud. I asked him why he was calling from Jamaica.. He gave some excuse that made no sense. I told him to call me back, and then told him to never call my Mother again, very forcefully, and that I was reporting him and his phone number.

I got a call saying I'd won the PCH Sweepstakes, $5 million and a car. He asked how much money he had in my bank account, I said $5000, then they asked that I pay $3800 in taxes+fees. He said he knew I thought it was a scam but that they'd been vetted by the ScamPulse.com.

Victim received call from "Publishers Clearing House" that she won $4 Million dollars and that she needed to pay a $500 & $200 fee to receive it.  Later, the money was still held up, and scammers told her that she needed to pay $35,000 for an Anti-Terrorist Fee to get money from Canada to US.  Victim knew it was a scam by then and did not send the $35,000.

Man (name given: David Sayer) on phone said you had won $1 million dollar sweepstakes and a 2017 Mercedes. He said to call 1-876-432-2406 and speak with John Cartwright (man sounded like the same person from the first initial call). John Cartwright said to go to Walgreens to pick up a receipt from the Western Union from the personnel at the store. He said that David Sayer, Betty Jones and Steven Michael (driving a white truck) would present the cashiers check and car within 1 hour and 45 minutes after obtaining a receipt card at Walgreens.
