Received a call stating I was a winner and I needed $495 certified money order and send it to *** Sycamore Ave Rosewell NM 88203 attn Lucia P S***

They told me once I get home from the Post Office I should contact them at the 202-407-7188 and give them the routing # of the money order.

I took down the info and hung up -

Man (name given: David Sayer) on phone said you had won $1 million dollar sweepstakes and a 2017 Mercedes. He said to call 1-876-432-2406 and speak with John Cartwright (man sounded like the same person from the first initial call). John Cartwright said to go to Walgreens to pick up a receipt from the Western Union from the personnel at the store. He said that David Sayer, Betty Jones and Steven Michael (driving a white truck) would present the cashiers check and car within 1 hour and 45 minutes after obtaining a receipt card at Walgreens.

I was contacted via instagram by a danielle_lamm123 as well as a davidgreen251 on or about 10/31/17. I was told they were with Publishers Clearing House and I had won a new car along with some money. They even sent a pic of the car with a big red bow on it. I was told that I needed to pay $187.00 to claim the prize, this was supposedly for taxes, and was texted a bunch of personal questions to answer.

The 1st contact was from Danielle and when I wouldn't respond anymore after she asked for money, I was contacted by David who was very insistent that I complete the question portion and remit the money for the prize. I questioned him about all this and he just kept texting saying he wanted to get the prize to me but he needed that info and money first. He was very harassing, even when I told him I would be reaching out to ScamPulse.com for information about him and to report his activity. He didn't care and kept harassing me.

"Mr. Roberts" called me a month ago to inform me that I won a lot of money + a new car. I was instructed to send a money order for $729 for "delivery charges" of my car to John Cook, 15115 Parthenia - Apt. 105, North Hills, CA 91343, which I did do. A few days ago I rec'd. another call from this person stating that Wells Fargo requires an $800 fee to cash the prize check, and that I should send another money order in that amount to Venicia Walcott, 14517 Linden Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11436. I did that also. At first he wanted me to send $4000 for the fees, but I told him I am on SSI and would have to take out a loan for that much money, which I wasn't willing to do. I became increasingly more suspicious of this entire process and called the ScamPulse.com to ask if it's legitimate, they told me no and I am now reporting this.

The team of Publishers Clearinghouse is pleased to announce you are the second place winner, $550,000.00. You are precluded from discussing this with any third party. A check for just over $7000 was included, Jim Bradley, He said to cash the check, and to keep the letter secret. I left the check with my bank.

Guy calls says he is attorney James Cooper and has your winnings all you have to do is send $99 by western union or money gram. Make sound so convincing to do this. Talks this real good game of how rich you going to be. Then preceed to say they on there way with your winnings. Then puts you on hold to let you talk to another. Mr. Cooper saying to get check notarized would be $1800 which I did not do. Then James Cooper says he would spot $1000 and I come up with the rest. Then proceeds to ask how much I have in my account. That sent up red flag to me. It is none of his business what I have in my account. He is suppose to call again tomorrow. I just wish we could catch him tomorrow.

Mr. John Cruz called my mother Mary Ann White Tues, October 24, 2017, said she was a winner of 2.8 million and a brand new car, asked her when she wanted the money. She said right now and he said ok. let me see what I can do. He then proceeded to tell her that the camera crew wouldn't be able to get out that soon, so playing along she said Friday. He said ok. They disconnected with a promise that he will call back. So he calls yesterday and asks if she told anyone and she said no, because she thinks its a scam and he told her that it was legitimate. And that God has blessed her. He had called her all day distracting her from her own job, to tell her the specifics, 2.8 millions dollars and a 2018 Mercedes with 5 years of paid Geico Insurance, 2 years free gas from any Shell gas station, 2 years of service and any color she wanted, that the car would be delivered by flatbed and there would be an armor truck with two men and women with flowers and big check. This scam is very elaborate and vindictive. So the last call was last night at 9/9:30 pm saying everything was good to go for Friday (today) and that he would call in the morning with a time that the camera crew would be here. He called all right, to tell my mom she needed to pay $750 for a registration fee. My mom said take it out the winnings and he said that could not be done. Then proceeded to get upset when my started asking all these questions and my sister was in the background talking too which he was upset that someone was in my moms ear. My mother is of retirement age and this is happening to this demographic. My mom has common sense and family to protect her but what about those who don't have either? Please help so these people do not get away with what they are doing!

We got a call from someone saying that I'd 2 million dollars and 2017 Mercedes Convertible. He had me on the phone for 1.5 hours before he said to send him a check for $799 for the taxes. He said you can check this out through your local BBB. I needed a postcard to go online and verify that I'd won. I had already received this in the mail.

Just received a phone call at my home saying I won 3.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House. The caller said is name is Billy Jones from Publishers Clearing House. Gave me his badge number: #476321BJ. Told me that my call was being recorded by the ScamPulse.com and also by Homeland Security. Mr. Jones' gave he his phone number : 1-876-457-9380. Extension # 601. He said that he was getting ready to fly in a heliocopter from Fairbanks this evening to my address to deliver the 3.5 Million dollar check! But first, he stated, that the International Gaming Commission needed 1 percent of the winning amount as their share of the winnings before the money could be handed over to me. The amount was $699.99.

I explained that I cannot come up with $699.99 at the moment. Mr Jones then responded that he has a group of 'sponsors' that would cover any amount that I could not gather this evening to insure that I get my prize promptly.

I told him that my husband is at work and I could not come up with any amount at all UNTIL I talk with my spouse.

My husband is now home from work and we've decided to contact ScamPulse.com first and foremost before getting back with this 'supposed' P.C.H. representative. We are not giving this Billy Jones ANY money. Cannot afford to. (Hopefully, this is actually a scam and I'm not refusing an actual cash prize!)...

AT ABOUT 10:00 A.M. I RECIEVED A CALL SAYING I HAD WON 1.2 MILLION DOLLARS AND A MERCEDES BENZ FROM PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE AND HE NEEDED PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SEND MONEY AND CAR. I INFORMED THE CALLER THAT HIS NUMBER CAME UP AS A "SCAM LIKELY" HE THEN HUNG UP.

My grandmother received a voice mails stating that She had won $7,000 weekly for life and a new car. They asked her to call back to claim my winnings. She did not return the call or answer the call when it came in. I did research and found other complaints on the number 337-245-2945.

I got a call from someone at "Publisher's Clearing House" saying I'd won 54.8 million, a car, and a washer & dryer. He said he'd already checked with Homeland Security and the BBB. I asked if I had to pay anything, he said nothing comes free. He told me I'd have to pay $4000. I asked if he minded if I shared this information with the BBB. He said he doesn't give a "***."

I received a call on my cell phone in which the number came up "unrestricted number." The male caller said he was a UPS driver and that he had a package to deliver from Publisher's Clearing House. He wanted to know if I was going to be home. He then asked if I had ordered anything from Publisher's Clearing House. I replied, "No." He asked if I wanted the package sent back. I responded, "Yes." He said no more and quickly hung up.

Caller said I had won $850,000 and a Mercedes-Benz. Asked if I had a pen and paper; I said “yes” and caller hung up. I assume this is the “yes” scam.

Today I received a call from a Dave Sawyers, 865-264-2372, representing Publishers Clearing House. He told me I had won $25 million dollars and a new Mercedes Benz. I asked how do I know this real? He gave me a #805-262-6034, claiming to be the Bank of America. I called the # and it was answered Bank of America and I pressed 3 as directed by Dave and was told $20 million was transferred to them for me. They gave me a transfer #20560772. The number also said that my telephone no was verified! Dave wanted me to call him back after the BOA call. I did and he wanted to stay on the phone while I went to the bank and then to Krogers for a Western Union transfer. I was advised by BOA recording that I had to pay 1% of winnings, which was $2000 or $850 or make pmt plan. Money would transfer after money paid! I almost fell for it. He even claimed to be a godly man!!! Please don't fall for this very elaborate and thought out scam!!!!

The scammer called my WI cell phone to inform me that I had won the PCH sweepstakes and would be receiving 1.9 million dollars. I asked him twice how I was chosen as a winner when I have never signed up for a lottery. The first time he repeated that I had won $1.9M. The second time he hung up on me. The phone call was from a restricted number.

My son answered the phone, and gave it to me. I just had a long conversation from a guy who said he was Publisher's Clearinghouse, and I won 2.2 million dollars. He said I know your legit because I just talked to your son. He said the winnings would be from JP Morgan Chase. He said I would have to secure $900 for taxes. He was bringing me 1 million today. He wanted me to go to the bank and call him. He said Todd Sloan would be coming to hand me the check. He sounded so legit. He rattled off a lot of security numbers. He asked the name of my bank. I told him I couldn't go to the bank, the Hospice nurse was here for my husband. he asked how far I lived from Cleveland, and how far I lived from the airport. He said three people would be coming to my house today.

- New Orleans, LA, USA

The caller was named John Lewis, who stated I won the sweepstakes for $950,000. I should go to Wal-Mart money gram to pay $55.99, to receive my prize. Supervisor Mary Johnson came on the line to verify the transaction. They are going to call me back at 4:00pm today.

A man named John Green called me from this number claiming he was with Publishers Clearing House. Said I had won 10 million dollars and a new Mercedes which was on its way from New York to my house. He was quite convincing saying that all I had to do was pay $500 to cover the expenses of the getting the car here and that was it. He instructed me to go to Walmart which I'm guessing he was trying to get me to Western Union him the money. Sadly so many people fall for these scams but I'm not one of them.
