Scammer called and asked if I was home. I said yes. Then he said he was with Publisher's Clearinghouse, and I hung up.

- Pinellas Park, FL, USA

I know it’s a scam, because about a year ago I fell for it, up to a point. They conned me out of 2 $100 Visa cards. I don’t remember why they needed them. I had also won the PCH sweepstakes at that time. Even when I quit responding, She kept calling and emailing and her name was Deborah Holland. The same name on the letter I received today!

This time they sent a check for $7,800.45 to assist me with out of pocket expenses. Call my claims agent Jerry Price, for method of payment. Of course, I’m not supposed to discuss this with anyone and keep the letter confidential.

The first time it happened to me, she called me and said I had won a new car plus the PCH sweepstakes. She called so many times, I will never forget the sound of her voice.

He said I won the Publisher Clearing House prize of 18.5 million dollars. He said to set this up I would have to call Bank of America at number 8772969834 to get the account number for the 18.5 million dollars. He also said a team of Clearing House people are coming by the house to congratulate my family and I and would be giving us some roses.

John Sloane was the name given. Said I'd won 4.8 million plus other prizes.wants me to get a money order for 650.00 to send to an address in New York, BEFORE the prize patrol can deliver my prizes to me. I guess he wants the number on the money order receipt to get the cash. He's spent a lot of time with me, and he wants me to call him back when I get the money order receipt. Scam much???

- Turner, OR, USA

I received 2 calls claiming that they were from Publisher's Clearing House and that I had to submit money to Better Business Bureau in order to receive my prize winnings. They told be to submit to ScamPulse.com because ScamPulse.com supposedly required verification to ensure cartels and fraud were not involved. The scammers told me I had to send $2,500 to a New York address but I figured it was a scam so I called the ScamPulse.com and they verified they are not affiliated with prize winnings for any sweepstakes and do not require/process payment for consumers to receive prize winnings for sweepstakes.

I was told how to dress, how to answer the door to greet Steve Havey and company on arrive at 11:30 am. The prize was $4.8 million dollers, Cash and $7,000 a week for the rest of my life. He did ask what bank I use. He also ask for my balance which I declined to answer. When he ask if I had CDs or 401k I said very small accounts. He then asks about my social society check . I told he when it arrives on Wednesday it ALL goes out on Thursday to pay bills.

I got a call from what I thought to be Publisher's Clearinghouse, 866-574-1329, saying I had unclaimed winnings of $12.5 million and a Mercedes Benz and that I needed to fill out paper to email back to them to claim prize. I stated that I did not receive the paper work and they sent again. Then called back and asked if I receive the paper work, which I said I did, then gave FED Reserve phone # 509-490-3250, along with an account # *********** *** *** * ****. Once all info was given to bank, then they would call. After I read all information from "pch" website, there was amount of $62,500.99 to be paid by me before the funds would be released. All phone numbers given were under a scam watch, so sent an email back to "[email protected] stating the following = I WILL NOT be part of this, because in the State of Wisconsin when it comes to any sweepstake or prize there Is NO fee to enter or claim any prize. So the fees that total $62,500.99, should not be charged to claim the prize. I WANT my name removed from this and I will be sending this to the State of Wisconsin. Also, I have talked with my accountant regarding this matter and they advised, very vehemently, against it. I am waiting for a call back to tell them that this is a SCAM.

Mark Anderson called and said he had an award for $350,000. He gave my name and address to verify he had the correct information. He then proceeded to say all that was necessary was to go Walmart and get a $199.00 gift card and call back at his #

501-722-6454. He would then send someone to my home, verify my identity, hand over the gift card and then I would receive my check for $350,000. He kept repeating “he wanted just 1% of my trust and he guaranteed he would put a smile on my face.” Each time I voiced my concern he kept repeating his instructions and tried to reassure me he wasn’t a scam and wanted to get me completely registered so I could receive my award.

I finally hung up and he called back 3 times. I didn’t answer but he did leave a voicemail message.
