I was contacted by William Harrison of the PCH and told that I had won 5.5 Million, $7,000 per week for the rest of my life and a Mercedes. I had to go to Western Union and pay $200.

- Denmark, WI, USA

Caller called my cell phone and told me I won PCH prize of #1.5 million + a new Denali. I was told to call 518-573-1336 to speak with a James Shepard to give me instructions to send taxes and fees of approx. $385 via money order. I did not make that call.

Says won $860,000 and a 2017 Mercedes Benz car. $1000 a week for life. Had to pay $460 upfront.

- Anchorage, AK, USA

The male identified himself as being with Publishers Clearing House. He went on to say I had won over a million dollars, and a Mercedes. He asked if anyone would be at home, and also said paperwork would be available at 'Walmart' to fill out. Of course I knew it was a scam, I said I would look over any official mail I received, and continued to be uncooperative.... he quickly hung up ... just as I had expected. Be aware.

Call comes in as Jamaica Call 1-876-488-2723 - they call very often and have done so for several months. 1st time they called they said they were co-workers long lost relative and to send them money. They called again and tried to say that they received a letter from her about a subscription she requested. Another call they claimed that she had won a prize. Another time when we told them to stop calling because we know they are scammers the person got mad and told us, to put it simply as it was very descriptive, to perform oral on him (this has happened on more than one occasion when we call them out).

- Lubbock, TX, USA

I received a phone call from a person saying they were with the BBB and were calling to let me know that I had won a lottery. I hung up on them.

- Madison, WI, USA

Person claimed to be General Manager of Publisher's Clearing House and talking about something. I couldn't understand them and I hung up. They called back and instead of hello I said an annoyed Yes, then realized what I just did and was kicking myself. They started to scold me for hanging up and I asked how they got my number. I told them I'm on the do not call list and they should not be soliciting me. More claims to be GM of PCH, yadda, yadda, yadda. I hung up again and saw the number from Jamaica.

A man called my grandmother saying she had won publishers clearing house and wanted her to mail them $700 And they would deliver her prize to her. She told them she didn't have $700 so he told her if she sent them $100 They would deliver her prize to her.

- Morton, WA, USA

They called claiming I had won money from Publishers Clearing House, also claiming that the FBI was on the line, recording and listening in to the call. They said they would arrive at my door in 45 minutes to give me the check of $8.5 million, a 2017 black GMC Denali, and that I could claim $5,000 at a local Walmart. Eventually they said that I must first pay $450 to the IRS before I could claim anything. When I asked for them to confirm their legitimacy they put their "manager" on the phone, who proceeded to yell at me asking if I really wanted to claim the prize or not. Any mention of what PCH uses to confirm legitimacy of the contact, was further met by aggression.

- Milton Freewater, OR, USA

Person called and said that I had won $5000.00 a week for life. Said the "team" would be at my house in 30 to 45 minutes to present me with my first check for $5000.00. Asked if I had shopped at any of the list of stores he had mentioned within the last week, because that's how my name got in the system for the chance to win. Before I could get the check, I would have to register my "name" for $450.00. I said not interested and person then hung up.

Company called saying they were sending me a free watch for my recent subscription. They said I was a finalist to win $25,000. They also wanted to send me three other free subscriptions for a year. They asked if I was familiar with these magazines, I said yes, which sounded like they recorded it. I then said I didn't want anything from them and hung up. They knew my name when they called but I didn't provide any address or personal information.
