Publishers Clearing House(PCH) - Imposter Reports & Reviews (822)

I received a phone call today from (585) 401-7198 and a voicemail was left: “Hello and good day this is a secured phone call from the publishers clearing House head office located at 101 Winter Circle, Port Washington New York this call is to inform you that you are the winner of an unclaimed prizes one of our monthly winners in our major lottery and sweepstakes competition your claims code is 404829 please note that the prize patrol is suspended till further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak this is a certified prize that is approved by the federal trade commission with competition for more information on how to claim your sweepstakes prize please dial one now I wanna call the publishers clearinghouse executive office at 585-401-7198 once again that number is 585-401-7198 we are open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 8PM Eastern standard time…”

This is a verbatim transcription of the written message left as a Voicemail, including the lack of punctuation. I didn’t recognize the number, so I let the call go to Voicemail; I’m glad that I did. I googled the phone number and was directed to this page as an option.

Somehow, I’m not surprised that this call is a scam.

I just received a very similar voicemail this morning! Of what I noticed, the only difference in the recording is the phone number they instruct you to call. That's crazy to see that this same SCAM is still happening, over 2 months later from the time you received this voicemail! I was all excited at first too, but then I remembered I haven't even played the Mega Millions which lead me to googling the voicemail to see if it's a SCAM, lol.

I've been receiving calls from Publisher's Clearing House. I was sick of it, so I did a 3 way call with ScamPulse.com on the line so they could hear the caller. The man had an odd accent like Indian American. He said I had won $250,000 and a Mercedes Benz. He asked what color I wanted. He asked if I could make my way to Walgreens to buy a $399.99 gift card. He told me to ask the clerk for a Vanilla Visa Gift card. He said the fee will be refunded to me when the delivery man comes in 30 minutes. He said he was at the warehouse, so he didn't have my file in front of him. Then he asked me to provide my address so he could get the car on the tow truck. He said to keep the gift card safe until I am safely home then call him back. I could hear children in the background. He kept saying "Listen to me", "Sweetie Pie" and "Okay" at the end of every sentence.

I received a call this am advising me to call Publishers clearing house because I am a winner. I did ,left my name and email. I received a call back telling me I will receive an email advising me of my winnings. I did, there was a copy of a check made out to me for 2+ million dollars, a new car and $7000.00 a week for life. The caller said they would be at my house tomorrow at 1pm with my prizes. However, there is a law in Texas and with the IRS that I pay a fee of $1,000.00 today. When I questioned the caller he became a little upset and when I told him to bring the prizes and I will then give him the money he told me he couldn't do that. I then told himthis was a scam and I was going to report them to PCH and place this on social media to warn others before someone is out $1,000.00 he then hung up on me. The phone number I had to call was: 917 768 6479

Got a recorded message from PCH told to call Mr. Michael Coleman at (718)765-5759.
Gave me a claim code PLC 11091. He was very convincing that I had won 18.5 million dollars, a 2021 Mercedez Benz and 2 ticket to a small island of my choice.
He even gave me an account number with B of A. I did verify with B of A that this is one of their phone Numbers (877)811-4223. The money is there in a depository account.

I have been receiving mail and phone calls from Publishers Clearing House. I am suspicious. A man told me I won $7 million. Wanted me to buy a $100 Vanilla Card at the Dollar Store. I have no car. I told him I would have to contact one of my children or a neighbor. He seemed to be in a hurry for me to go along with this. They would come to my house with the prize. I did not buy the card. It sounded so unbelievable. I tried to call him back. I got a recording. Phone number 646-960-5316.

I have been receiving calls from Publishers Clearing House. About six calls. The caller does not sound businesslike. I won $2.8 Million and a Mercedes. I was told I need to buy a $50 gift card. I know this is a scam and wanted to report the calls. I do not have the phone numbers that called. I should not have to pay a fee if I have won a prize.

Fake PCH call they keep calling....

The scammer said he was from publisher clearing house and that I've won 2.5 million dollars. I was asked to pay 10k in fees and taxes. I told them i didn't have that. They asked what I had. I agreed to send 2500 to them and have them take the rest out of the winnings. I felt odd about it but it seemed so real, and they were so convincing. But it was a scam.

The phone call said I won 5.5 million and a Mecedes Benz. They did ask me where Lynn Ave is, but I didn't know where it is. Later I notice the street about a half mile from my house, don't know the connection. I told them I had not put in for PCH in many years, but they said when I put in it stays in their record for life. They told me I needed to pay a 1% fee, but they only wanted 900 dollars which is not 1% not sure why. They wanted me to go to Dollar General or Family Dollar and get some kind of money order, they did not call it a money order can't remember what they called it. I would have to get 4 of them which would total 900 dollars. When I get the money then call them back and they will bring the check and collect the money.

I told them I would meet them at the bank, and we could cash the check and I will give them the money when the check cleared. He tried to explain why they could not do that, but I said that is the only way they will get any money out of me. He hung up the phone, it was hard to understand them because of his accent.

The caller told my mother she had won the publisher's Clearing house sweepstakes. and a 2022 Mercedes Benz. The catch was she was asked to pay 15k in processing fee's and taxes. She was told to wire the money to Jamaica. She was told for security reasons she could not tell anyone. She agreed to pay the amount but did not know how to wire the money. They had someone call her claiming to be a federal agent and he told her how to wire the money. She was expecting her car to be delivered and her money to be put in her account. When it did not come and they kept asking for more money she told me(her son) and obviously realized she had been scammed.

I got a phone call from someone identifying himself as Dave Sayer from Publishers Clearing House. He said I won millions of dollars. He said that he'd meet me at my home shortly, but first I needed to send $900 to: Delores Pitts, 10212 Purcell Rd., Glen Allen VA 23060. This was an account at the Federal Reserve Bank. He even gave me an account number (#2057 9945 90) and even gave me a pin number. After I paid the money I realized I was duped.

The message was from someone claiming to be from the Publishers clearing house. I didn’t talk to anyone. It was a voice mail message left on my phone. I tried to copy the transcribed message in a screen shot. Hope this helps catch these losers!
