This maybe a hacker from Russia or China. Certainly not 'PAYPAL" because I do not have an account with PAYPAL, and I can not complain to them.

We received an email from so called Pay Pal saying we had purchase speakers on my wife's email and a purchase from Wayfair on my email. We checked our on line credit card information and nothing was posted. We didn't open the email and just deleted it. I did a screen shot of what the email looks like and I will attach it.

Rec’d email in junk from “PayPal”relating charge for new iPhone $927.85. (The word authorized was misspelled authorised). Directed to call 844-340-3035 if I didn’t make the purchase. Provided transaction # in email to rep who answered call. Then was asked to log into a Zoho meeting to remove charges. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told he would call me back. Call came from 551-222-6214. This “supervisor” was very persistent to get me to log on to a “secure site” to remove charges. He wanted me to use computer or phone. The whole conversation felt suspicious. When I ask to speak to his supervisor he said there wasn’t one. When I challenged him he chuckled and said you can’t talk to anyone above me. He abruptly hung up.

Received email for a Paypal purchase, which I did not make. Called listed number, was told it was a Bitcoin purchase. The name of person I spoke to was "Rayan,"and he said he was in California, for PayPal. The number listed is for Indiana (812) 487-3640.

Consumer was sent an email that stated her order was sent by ebay. She does not have an ebay, or paypal account. The scammer wanted her to fill out a survey. She hung up on them.

I received an email of a confirmation of a purchase thru PayPal for $477.00. I called the phone# listed to cancel purchase which I didn’t order. In the email they had the ScamPulse.com logo, so I thought it was legit. They told me that I was hacked for the 477.00 from PA and 2000.00 from Huston, TX. I’ve never been to either state. They knew all my personal information. They were also following my every move I made on my phone. They told me that they had to cancel out the hackers accounts. I supposedly bought a gun and purchased bitcoins. They wanted me to go to either Target or Walmart and purchase a $500.00 gift card. I then hung up and called my bank. The bank posted an alert to my account because of unknown activity. Thank goodness. My debit card was then cancelled.

I keep receiving these emails from individual people telling me that they received my order on PayPal. And then you call the fake PayPal phone number and get this person that tries to get your debit card number from you. I put them on the spot and asked them why they wanted my debit card when it was charged to my PayPal and then they hung up on me.

Trying to sell on fb marketplace, was contacted to purchase my item through PayPal. They listed the name as ******** ******** item was to be shipped to ***** ****** ** **** ** ** ** **** *****. Shipped out item, was scammed out of 2 500$ payments. The PayPal account was so real, I questioned it but still trusted. Asked to send overpayments through zelle after the fact. Message me throughout the entire process.

first they send an email that there was a purchase done and if I don't recognize it to call their number to cancel the transaction and from there they wanted me to drive to a nearby store and buy some google verification cards and charge them for supposedly PayPal fees to verify my location and then they would reimburse me...don't fall for it...I almost did!

To my knowledge I do not have a PayPal account. I cancelled my subscription/membership at least 10 years ago.

the below email is the third I've received: I have not called the phone number listed. Also I turned them into Apple.

I received an email from a site representing themselves as PayPal and it indicated that an account was opened up under my email. The email instructed me to contact them if I didn’t recognize the information. I called the number on the email and they told me I was victim of a “clampi virus” and they needed to help me create a “Honeypot” program to thwart hackers. At one point, my phone call with them was disconnected and I received a call from a Saratoga, CA number (408-867-7659) and it was the same person as the 888 phone number (he said he was calling me from a secure line) I cooperated and they took me through quite a lengthy process and at some point they asked me to upload my driver’s license (which I regretfully did) and they had me authorize a Bitcoin purchase of $299.00 indicating this was just to create an illusion to the hackers but would ultimately be blocked by the “Honey Pot” and the charge would be reversed. I ended the phone conversation with them when they asked me to upload my bank debit card. I called my bank and ordered a new debit card and called the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to report fraud. I am now working to get an entirely new driver’s license.

I got an email that said if I did not make this purchase to call this number I called the number the man told me not to call my bank that they will not help me I have to go through him he told me to download an app and then when I read the agreement and didn’t want to agree to it because it said that they will be recording all of my personal information from my phone he demanded I believe what he says and not what I’m reading!! I called my bank!!

Got an email that was supposed to be from PayPal Email ID PP843. The email stated that my PayPal order for an iPhone 12 was confirmed (with Transaction ID -6xsdres548fds21587) and that I'd sent a payment of $894.99 USD through PayPal to [email protected] and that the phone was being sent from ebay to Amanda Fayette , Bentley Park, Queensland 4869, Australia. They also stated that I could view the transaction details by logging in to the PayPal account link provided. Then they gave the statement that "if this wasn't you, Please call immediately at the link for 1-833-368-5296 to report this incident and block this transaction." However, the information and links were NOT from PayPal. When I went online, and checked my own PayPal account, there was NO charge for an iPhone.

I received an email from whom I thought was PalPal stating there was a charge of $897.44 on my account and if I didn’t make a purchase in that amount to call the number in the email. I panicked and called it. Long story short they said they would help me fill out a form so they could put money back in my checking account that was taken for the purchase. Was asked to put the amount of $897 on the form when I looked over the form it seemed as though I made a mistake and put 8974 in other words taken over $8000 to replace the money. I felt terrible that it was going to go against them and they would be held accountable for the money and they would probably lose their jobs. I actually did what I was told to do by getting the first $2000 at target in gift cards. I know I am a fool for believing them. They also retrieved the email so I don’t have a copy

I was calling to get an update on a dispute that I have tried to settle for over two weeks. The man asked me to download an app called AnyDesk, which screen records your info via phone. He asked me to add $2,499 to my cash app to verify my identity for a refund of $37.78 from an ordered that I never received. I added it and quickly cashed out and disabled my cards and changed all of my pins and passwords across every app that holds my personal information. He became angry when I asked him to verify his name so I could report him for his rude demeanor. He told me that if I didn’t go through with it, that he would permanently close my PayPal account, freeze my bank account and send me a $500 bill to reinstate everything for use. These people are sick and should be in jail. My money is supposed to go back into my account on Tuesday. I just pray that it does.
