Type of a scam Employment
Hi, my name is Karina-Jo and I am a recruiter. We are currently looking for a part-time assistant to join our team. The online work hours are flexible and you can work remotely. This job only takes 1 hour a day and can be done anytime, anywhere. The daily salary ranges from $300 to $1360. You will be paid immediately after the end of each working day. All you need is a smartphone or computer to start working. You can even work on weekends or any free time. For every 5 days of work, the basic salary is $960. After you have worked for 15 days, you can sign an employment contract with the company and receive paid annual leave: plus maternity leave, paternity leave and other statutory holidays. I have record of our WhatsApp conversation as well, which I cannot post on here or it would take too long. To begin, I would like to start by saying that I knew this was a scam from the start, but I asked some probing questions and did my research to get the information I have provided. I asked about the name of the company/business first, and was just told “Paramount.” Then I asked for the official website for their company in which they sent me Paramount’s official website. But then they said that I would have to go to paramountcb.com and register to apply for the position. I did verification research on the website to see if it was legit or not. *Spoiler Alert* It’s not. Bummer… As if there weren’t already enough red flags, under “Karina-Jo’s” name on WhatsApp it had under it “~Ivanciego.” There was no profile picture. I tried calling the number provided through WhatsApp, and it was disabled. They had joined WhatsApp Business in February of 2025, though they claimed to be a recruiter for Paramount Pictures for 4 years. Finally, I called them out on their bluff and was met with some obscene words that no business professional would use. There is my story. Again, I knew it was a scam going into talking to this person, but I wanted to get as much information as possible to report them to help any other unsuspecting victims they may be targeting.
