I PURCHASED A FLIGHT ONLINE THEN GOT AN ACKNOWLEDGEDMENT EMAIL

SECONDS LATER I RECIVED A PHONE CALL SAYING MY FLIGHT IS ON HOLD BY AIRLINE.

WHEN I CALLED BACK THEY SAID THE FLIGHT WASN'T AVAILABLE ANYMORE I WOULD HAVE TO BOOK A DIFFRENT FLIGHT AT A

HIGHER PRICE. I TOLD THEM TO CANCEL THE FLIGHT THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHARGE ME 100.OO TO CANCEL.

I TOLD THEM ITS NOT MY FAULT THEY DONT HAVE THE FLIGHT I BOOKED ANYMORE.

I HAD TO FREEZE MY CARD THEY DIDNT WANT TO CANCEL THE FLIGHT UNLESS I PAID THEY SAID IT WILL STAY ON HOLD SO I HUNG UP ON THEM.

KNOWING I FROZED MY ACCOUNT, AND TOLD THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY WHAT HAPPENED. SO THEY CAN'T CHARGE ANYTHING I HAD TO GO THRU ALL THIS INCONVENIENCE.

Came up in comparison list with Priceline, Kayak, Cheaptickets, so thought legit and "purchased" airline tickets. Received notice that booking was not confirmed until e-tickets received within 24-48 hours. Then I received a phone call from them and "Madeline" started asking questions. I told her they already had the information and hung up. Over the next several hours (ending at 1 a.m.) I received multiple texts and phone calls from different numbers (9 calls before I started blocking all unknown numbers on incoming calls and texts) and emails basically stating the ticket I had purchased did not have any flexibility and for $xx of dollars they could upgrade and for $xx they could do a better upgrade and if I didn't respond I would be charged a cancellation fee higher than the initial purchase price. I checked my credit card and no illicit activity had shown up; I called the card carrier and had the card cancelled.

Found company online, TF Topflightfares listed with other airline ticket companys. Chose a flight listed at $179.62 per passenger. Received an email from the above company that our tickets are pending and a representative will contact us. A representative called us approximately 15 minutes later and stated the rate was for stand by only. This was not stated anywhere in the listing. We told him to cancel this purchase, he stated that the airlines charges $99 per cancelation. We told him this was a scam and we would report their business. He left a message on our phone that there would be no cancelation fee and he would credit our account with them $359.24. We immediately called our credit card company and canceled and reported the company.

I tried to book flights for my partner and son. The company contacted me hours later to state the price of the flights had increased and I needed to pay more money. I did this. The original amount went to the airline, then the additional costs went to the The Bargain Trip. Later I found out that the transaction with the airline was unsuccessful due to security reasons. The money that went direct to the airline was refunded by them, but the additional money that was not refunded by The Bargain Trip. They said that money went to pay airport fees and taxes. They also stated that they had someone at the airline who confirms I cancelled the flights and so the extra money won't be refunded. All this is a lie. I have confirmation from the airline that they cancelled the booking and refunded all the money including taxes. The Bargain trip said that was not the case and that they will not refund the extra money.

A flight was posted online, I gave all my credit card and personal information to buy it. Then get a call from the company saying that basic economy is no longer available and I cant have my $ back but would have to pay $900 more dollars to get this main economy flight. I states I wanted my $ back and they said that was impossible. I told them this is illegal and is false advertisement and a bait and switch which is illegal in the States. I asked for their employee number and to talk to someone in the States, they gave me bogus employee number and was never able to talk to anyone in America. SO far no $ has been taken out but they have all my information and I wasted hours on the phone with 7 different employees.

GuestReservations.com deceptively appears to be website of the specific hotel I was looking to book with. They embedded the hotel name in the url that they used until I made the reservation, then they switch you to GuestReservations.com and show a 50% upcharge for unspecified fees and taxes. There is not cancellation methods without calling, and then the representative explains that the cancellation policy requires a payment that is greater than the charge for the hotel room! So in my case, I booked a $160 room for 2 persons at the Hotel Warner for March 20-21st and the confirmation e-mail showed a "Resort fee" of $4.50 and a "Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees" charge of $77.54, for a total of $243.14. If I wanted to cancel then they would charge me a $178.26 "Cancellation Fee." The representative told me that he'd refund me $16 but that was a lie- he didn't refund anything. This company should be the target of a class action lawsuit for their deceptive practices!

Said they was booking me two tickets for Amtrak--sent them by email was not valid---Amtrak could not find my payment and made me pay again

Purchased airline tickets online. Within 10 minutes of purchase, a spokesperson from the company called me and told me the tickets I purchased did not allow a carry-on bag or a checked bag. I would not be able to purchase a checked bag either. I requested to cancel the purchase and was told I could not. I requested to speak with a manager and was told I could not. I asked again to cancel and was told I could not. Breeze, the spokeswoman told me she would look for different tickets. I reluctantly agreed because I was told I was not going to get my money back. Breeze offered me two different tickets, one of which was not on the same days as my original planned vacation. The other was over double the price of the original tickets. I said I did not want them and I wanted to cancel the purchase. I was told for a third time I could not. I again requested to speak to a manager and was denied the opportunity. I reluctantly said yes to tickets I did not want because I did not want to lose the money from the online purchase. After the ordeal, I started doing research on the company and realized this is their typical modus operandi. Being a novice at buying airline tickets, I had no idea this could happen. I want to make sure other customers are not scammed by Travel01.

False advertisement. I purchased tickets for $187.00 they then asked me for more money up $551.00

- Omaha, NE, USA • Feb 18, 2025

Round trip airline tickets were advertised and charged and then changed to one way tickets and more money demanded for return trip. When attempting to cancel the bogus flight a "cancellation fee" of $213 was demanded.

I booked an airfare with Travel01 on line. They then called me to confirm the booking and told me I had a restricted flight and could not take on any baggage or a carry on. I then tried to cancel it. They tried to sell me a flight for more thant $600 so I could take a carry on. I told them to cancel it. I have been phoned repeatedly and text messaged about this flight and I have told them to cancel it. The charge has yet to appear on my credit card but I have to keep looking to see if it has.

Went on their website looking for flights found one and booked them. Everything seemed legit until I noticed I didn’t receive an email and I didn’t receive a flight confirmation and then about maybe half an hour I received a phone call telling me that the flight was no longer available But they had other options but it would be $1000 on top of the $464 that I had already paid on the website.

- Astoria, NY, USA • Jan 28, 2025

I was trying to book a cheaper flight, they called me to tell me that flight isn’t there anymore plus it’s more than 84 I told them to cancel as this was not transparent and she told me she can’t. I called again and the guy said he will cancel but it is not promising with all the attitude and the scam they are running

- Topanga, CA, USA • Jan 27, 2025

I booked a flight through this website on January 23, 2025. They immediately called me and told me that price was no longer available, and tried to sell me a much more expensive ticket. I asked them to cancel, the person yelled at me that the flight was not refundable and not changeable, and continued to coerce me multiple times to switch a ticket to a different airline and a different price. After I asked them how come they are offering a change of airline if it not changeable, the person couldn't answer, but continued to pressure me, and would not listen. I told them to cancel the booking request, that I do not authorize any charges, and will contact my credit card company if I see any charges from them. The person hung up. After that I received multiple emails (at least 6) and 7 phone calls from different numbers from this company leaving me a voicemail telling me I needed to contact them because they found a better flight for me. I responded to one of the calls and told them I was not interested and asked specifically not to call be back. The person I talked to told me no one else will call again. After that I received 2 additional phone calls with the same voicemails as above.

The company posts as a travel agency. After processing the flights online, we received a call from the company stating the flights were not available that the available flights were almost 3x the price. At that point all the info required to purchase a flight were entered (name, date of birth and address, and card info). When i received the call i asked them i will not purchase the flight because the price is not what it was online so the person on the phone with a strong accent became upset and hung up the phone. They proceeded and attempted on charging my debit card $3,000, but i locked my account. I received 7 calls from the company threatening me and saying i "broke the reservation". I want to warn everyone not to use this company. It sounds like its based in India.

Travelo1 will advertise very low flight fares and flight availability. Naturally, you will want to purchase the tickets as it comes across as an Expedia type of purchase making you think it is legit. Once you make the purchase, they will call you to confirm the tickets. However, the tickets you selected will 'not be available' and you will have to choose other flight times, days, seat class, etc., which will be hundreds of dollars more than the ones you thought you were purchasing. When you ask to speak with a manager, they will say they are the manager. If you hang up and call back, that person is also a manager. Apparently everyone at this place is a manager and there is no real supervisor person you can speak to. They also claim that they do not allow refunds and are not subject to the same 24h cancellation policy as the actual airlines themselves. Also - they will tell you that the ticket you have chosen does not allow for a checked bag, carry on OR personal item. When you tell that that's fine, they will argue with you about how will you travel with no luggage. On top of the above, the company continues to call, text and email you multiple, multiple times a day to 'confirm the tickets'.

- Amarillo, TX, USA • Jan 17, 2025

Purchased flight tickets. 2 minutes after purchase the “airline” called and said I purchased restricted tickets that can’t be cancelled, I can’t sit with my 6 year old kid or husband, I can’t take any bags carry on or checked bags, and I can’t purchase to have any bags. I would need to upgrade to purchase main cabin tickets and not economy tickets. The new tickets would now cost me another $1,000.00. The proceed to tell at me and tell me that I have to purchase upgraded tickets. I can’t have my money back, I can’t cancel. And they have been calling me continuously and harassing me about payment and upgrades.

When I booked my hotel through reservations portal there was no itemized breakdown of extra fees that would be processed. Once purchased there was a fee that was not explained. When I called the customer service within minutes of my booking they were not helpful and would not refund me my money. I asked to speak to a supervisor and waited on hold for an hour and then was disconnected. After speaking with another representative, reservations portal offered me 10% back and it wasn't until I threatened to write a review that they offered me 15% back. This was still not the price of the fees. The company emailed me saying they were going to get in touch with the hotel partner and would keep in touch. This has been going on for almost a month and I've spoken to 6 different people in the meantime and they all gave me the same run around. This is something reservations portal said would be resolved in 24-48 hours which is not true. Each time reservations portal tries to reach out to the hotel partner they supposedly cannot get in touch with them. When I spoke to another person they said that I should try to contact the hotel myself and I did very easily. The hotel said they had nothing to do with this company. I also thought it was interesting that 2 phone numbers that I used to speak with representatives are now disconnected from reservations portal. Do not use reservations portal! Very suspicious!! This has still not been resolved.

Found their website through Fairscraper.com/priceline. Got a confirmation email after I booked my flight. The email contained grammatically incorrect statement and a "pending" reservation with Delta. Delta had no record of the reservation. When I called the customer service phone number it did not identify as travel01.com and went to voicemail. I called back again and got a live person. When I questioned these things, they eventually hung up on me. Later, I received a follow up email that I needed to contact them and that it was urgent to complete my reservation. At this point no money has been charged to my account, but they do have my credit card information.

Click2Book.us advertised reasonably-priced airfares which I booked. A few hours later they wanted to charge me more because they claimed the original fare was no longer available. Then they did not allow me to cancel and wanted to charge a cancellation fee of $500. No matter how much I insisted on cancelling the transaction, they continued to badger me into paying for the more expensive airfare which I refused. I contacted my credit card company immediately to dispute the original amount charged which went through. I found out later that they tried four times to run the same amount through.

Stay away from this website! It's a wonder they are still allowed to operate.
