it's a scheme to get personal information, including passport, they also repeatedly emailed asking to upload "missing documents" and texted
They did not refund me for a cancellation of a reservation.
When i googled the website - I saw it is a scam website.
After Mr. XXX received confirmation from FlightsAssist that Mrs. XXX's flight would be changed, he shared the conversation/email correspondence with Mrs. XXX. She realized that her husband had contacted FlightsAssist by mistake and she was concerned that her flight had not, in fact, been cancelled or changed. Mrs. XXX then contacted the airway, Cathay Pacific (not Aeromexico as was documented on FlightsAssist's invoice) directly to learn that no change or cancellation had been made to her flight on Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong Intl to Pearson Int, Canada, even though FlightsAssist stated that the flight had been cancelled.
Cathay Pacific changed her flight and charged $50 for the flight change fee. We attempted to dispute this charge with AMEX. In a response to AMEX Bank of Canada, FlightsAssist indicated that the “cardholder transaction was completed on 17th FEB25 under PNR 2Z.... with Aeromexico Airlines Sector HKG-YYZ for passenger(s) XXX.” This statement is not accurate. Mrs. XXX did not have a flight with Aeromexico. Her flight was with Cathay Pacific. The Booking Reference, 2Z... is accurate. If FlightsAssist had, as stated, cancelled the flight associated with that booking reference, Mrs. XXX and Cathay Pacific would not have been able to make the flight change later that night which ultimately allowed her to return home on Thursday, XX Feb 2025. This company is a complete SCAM.
SECONDS LATER I RECIVED A PHONE CALL SAYING MY FLIGHT IS ON HOLD BY AIRLINE.
WHEN I CALLED BACK THEY SAID THE FLIGHT WASN'T AVAILABLE ANYMORE I WOULD HAVE TO BOOK A DIFFRENT FLIGHT AT A
HIGHER PRICE. I TOLD THEM TO CANCEL THE FLIGHT THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHARGE ME 100.OO TO CANCEL.
I TOLD THEM ITS NOT MY FAULT THEY DONT HAVE THE FLIGHT I BOOKED ANYMORE.
I HAD TO FREEZE MY CARD THEY DIDNT WANT TO CANCEL THE FLIGHT UNLESS I PAID THEY SAID IT WILL STAY ON HOLD SO I HUNG UP ON THEM.
KNOWING I FROZED MY ACCOUNT, AND TOLD THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY WHAT HAPPENED. SO THEY CAN'T CHARGE ANYTHING I HAD TO GO THRU ALL THIS INCONVENIENCE.
