I receive phone calls and messages several times a day from multiple phone numbers (that I block every time) from someone named Brian Walter (most frequently), but other names are used to. The messages left are all similar to this most recent one "I am Brian Walter, I am the account specialist working on your $36000 loan approval. You can reach me or one of my team members directly at 855-909-0815." I did not apply for a loan and have repeatedly asked for them to stop calling. The phone calls and messages are so frequent it is starting to disrupt my daily life.

I had just created my towing service website less than 10 hours ago and haven't listed it or advertised on google. I get a phone call from a guy with a heavy indian accent asking if I owned the business. After I said yes, he said he wanted to verify some information to ensure my google listing stays live. After I said I could do it myself, he asked, "are you saying you don't want to verify your information" and I replied with "yes" and he then said, "okay, we're going to delete your website" to which I replied with, "good luck."

This so-called company tried to charge my mother's bank card for 27.95, we caught the charge but didn't recognize it and the bank blocked it and locked my mother's account. We changed everything and then it tried to charge it again. So, I called the number 866-829-8413 and the rep stated the business was called Membership Services. So, I asked what business or what is the name of the membership. I was sent to voicemail. I hung up and called back and the new rep had the nerve to tell me they didn't see any account for my mom, but they said it was my account, using my mother's card. I do not ever use my mother's money or card, that place is a SCAM, and they are phishing for information at least I think judging from their behavior on the phone. They didn't get any money, but they continued to try the rep stating that she had canceled the account and quickly hung up the phone when I lost all religion left in my body and started going in on her. Hopefully, they will stop but someone needs to investigate the so-called Membership Services business.

Events on 07/25-26/23

Turned on my computer.

Notice that it was hacked flashed on screen and being repeated verbally.

Advised NOT to turn off computer.

Unable to verify with Microsoft, I think I called the number provided.

Unsure as to whether my computer has anti-virus and other threat software because I don’t have the money to buy extras for my computer, so I trusted what came with the computer for security.

Now I was panicked. I told them to fix the damage done, and prevent further damage for $350. I complained that I am poor and this was quite a financial strain.

They took control of my computer and did God-knows-what!

Told me he would call next day to check up.

The next dayI noticed that something else was being done to my computer and instructions said not to interrupt.

He called and told me he took pity on me and would refund part of the cost. I think he hooked up to my bank account to deposit the money. He told me what amount to type in. I made a mistake and typed in an extra digit which took the number from the $100s to the $1000s. This multiplied what he had hoped for!!

Because I had made this mistake, he said that he needed me to put that extra money back. Had me get cash and put it into a world bank bitcoin machine.

Looking at my bank account I see only the missing $2200 from my debit acct + the $350 for the service & software.

As I am typing this I see where I went wrong. TOO TRUSTING & HONEST! I am not alone!!!

I see now various things I should have done. Hindsight is 20/20! ***** *******

I am selling some items on facebook marketplace. I've received numerous replies from interested people (some of which have new online profiles). They asked me for a phone number so they can confirm I am a real seller (one person said "sellar"). The first time, I gave them my number and shortly after, my Google Voice number was hijacked. I took my Google Voice number back and every time after, I've used my Google Voice proxy number. Every time as well, when challenged, the person stopped messaging. I wanted to report this to help others.

The person didn't get that far with me as the previous person. I recognized it was a scam. They texted tge below:

Hi, I'm Ms.Brooke Nielsen, I am the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Parsyl Inc and i'm pleased to inform you that your resume posted online has been reviewed and forwarded to the Management Team of Parsyl Inc for an interview are you available and willing to undergo this interview?

I simply replied go away get a life. No one text about a job unless we've already communicated.

They didn't respond back.
