An individual named David is attempting to scam those looking for border collie puppies. I reached out initially thinking they were legit just to find out they are a complete scam as their phone number is linked to numerous puppy scams amongst multiple breeds. When I asked if they were certified and/or registered, he hung up on me.

The website looks legit and updated. I inquired about a ball python via email, and got a response within 2 hours. I put the order through PayPal the next day and got a very convincing email receipt with all the information and pictures with mailing address and all. But the next day I received another email asking for a 100% refundable guarantee alive delivery fee of $200. I waited a few hours before just forking over money and then I get a phone call from “Lawrence” (770-322-4039) and he stated he was in charge of handling the shipping and assured me I would get the money back upon delivery and that this was a very common way of shipping snakes during the winter. So I give him the $200 though PayPal again. The shipping website they used is cargoway-logistics.com and I was supplied a tracking number. Everything again seemed legit and it was updated once I forked over the $200. I was supposed to receive the package today but I got another text from “Lawrence” stating the snake was being held for inspection due to strict regulations for bugs and pest and that I would need to pay another $200 to get it expedited and guarantee live delivery. I responded stating I already paid and I would not be paying anymore. “Lawrence” then called me stating this had to happen or he could not guarantee delivery. And after speaking to him I felt very uneasy just because of the way he was speaking, it was not professional at all. I told him I was not paying another cent, and he hung up. I reached out to xzreptiles Facebook page asking for them to call me and I also sent another email requesting to speak to them about the shipping issues. I did not get a phone call but I got a response via email stating they had nothing to do with shipping and that I would need to do what they ask to ensure I receive my package. I have tried to file a dispute through PayPal but since it was paid via “friends and family” I can not receive any funds back.

We purchased a kitten from Furbulous Cats and Kittens based in Charlotte, NC. Furbulous hired this company Rokaways Pet Transportation Services to ship the kitten. Upon arrival at the transportation office I was notified by email that the crate provided by Furbulous was not adequate for the flight. Rokaways Pet Transportation offered three thermal crates for transport to protect the kitten. One was $850, $1,000 or $1,300. I went with the $850 option. They wanted the payment through Zelle. I am not set up with Zelle so they then sent instructions to get two prepaid Visa Cards from Walmart. Unfortunately, I did. I checked the airline to see if the flight schedule they sent me was real. I confirmed the flights, so I proceeded to send them the pictures of the cards as instructed. I then started receiving text messages from Rokaways updating the flights that the kitten was on. Then at approximately 650 pm pst I received a notice from Rockaway that the kitten needed pet insurance to continue his flight. The required amount due was $1,500.00 refundable upon delivery. The kittens next flight was supposed to be in 45 minutes. I then received two phone calls, which I did not answer because I was writing a text message stating I was not giving them anymore money and that I was reporting this to our local Sheriffs Department.

This morning we called American Airlines to see if they had this kitten at all. According to the agent we spoke to no live animals were on or scheduled to be on any of the listed flights they provided us.

Additional Information Causing Suspicion this is Scam/Fraud/Theft

All of this information, and more is contained in the texts and emails included in the initial documentation I sent.

- Cost for deliver seemed very low

- Deliver to my home in 24 hours did not seem possible

- “Seller” not very interested in nearest airport(s) information

- “Seller” only accepts “strictly” Friends and Family Pay category

- “Sellers” PayPal address name seemed odd, melomusik30

- “Sellers” name changed from Timothy Goude to Darien Martinez

- The house at 214 4th St N Naples Fl 34102 is a 4 million dollar home

- “Seller” comments about ScamPulse.com details and FBI surveillance.

- No legitimate Itinerary every sent/received

- Never told which airport the kitten was delivered to, nor which airline cargo. Not by “seller”, nor by “delivery courier”.

- Was not receiving communications from delivery courier.

- I only received the FLIGHT NOTIFICATION FOR YOUR KITTEN, in which they have “THE PUPPY WAS REGISTERED BY SENDER: Timothy Goude, : 215 4th St N Naples Fl , 34102.

- “Seller” demanding I contact the “delivery courier” via the phone number “seller” provided and immediately pay additional insurance.

- “Seller” stated “delivery courier” had talked to me on the phone—they had not

- “Seller” stated “delivery courier” tried to call several times but could not reach me via phone, although my phone was working fine & showed no missed calls.

- “Seller” claimed emergency with wife “had a surgery on her last cancer operation” and doctor appointment. I totally did not believe these!

- “Seller” stated insurance issues is a new thing, later said he has been to court over it.

- “Seller” stated courier would only accept insurance fee from buyer. They would not let him pay it.

- “Seller” did not, would not, send me copies of the paperwork he would have received from the delivery courier &/or the airport when he dropped the kitten off at the airport. Again, I have never gotten information as to which airport this kitten was supposed to be awaiting departure.

- “Delivery Carrier’s” emails I viewed via my email provider, which were quarantined was requesting $800 insurance fee, without any verifiable contact information, nor any way to pay said insurance fee.

It all screams Scam, Fraud, Theft to me. Hindsight!

I would also love to have this person(s) stopped from doing this to others. Any additional identification information you can provide to me or to the police would be most appreciated.
