Scammer used private Facebook group called “Boxers for adoption and rehoming” to post puppies available for “adoption”. I reached out with interest to the admin Robert Howard. He provided pictures of the puppy and informed me that they came with papers and genetic testing. He asked for a $300 deposit out of the $700 total price to hold the dog and mark him as sold. A few days later 12/30/2023 I received a message that his son was in an accident and he would have to have the dog delivered that day, I told him that wasn’t possible and I could pick up the dog 4 days later 1/2/2024, he agreed. We discussed a meet up point and I told him I would arrive at 4pm, it was a 2 hour drive from my home. On the morning on 1/2, an additional $200 was requested for vet fees and “puppy pack supplies”. At 3:30pm on 1/2 I received a message that no one would be able to bring the dog to the meeting point but they could have him delivered same day. A third party transportation company contacted me with tracking information, then informed me that it would be $600 to rent a crate for transportation or $1100 to purchase the crate. The rental was supposedly 98% refundable but at this point there were already a few red flags. I messaged the scammer that I would not be fronting any additional money because it was not our fault that the dog had to be shipped and if he could not cover the cost that I would like to cancel the transaction and receive a full refund of $500. I did not hear back from the man after telling him multiple times that I would not be paying. I sent a request for the money and it has not been refunded. The admin of the Facebook account removed me from the group so I cannot report the group directly though Facebook.

Said they had a dog. Took a deposit. Dogs name kept changing and then found same picture on several sites. We said we would pick up but they said something came up and for $200 more they could just ship. We asked for a picture of dog in front of their home or a shared phone location to meet. Haven’t heard back. They deny it’s a scam, but we have yet to see actual proof. And they just keep denying rather than saying “what proof do you need?”

I just gonna copy the text from someone who had the exact same experience that I had wit this scammers: I came across the website while searching for a new family pet. Text back and forth, briefly talked on phone. Agreed to send half of the payment via CashApp of $790 and the otherhalf through zelle to have puppy delivered to nearest airport and was persuaded to send friends or family for a “discounted price. Shortly after I sent the money to them they stopped replying so I knew I was scammed. No communication since. Hope this will be helpful for others before they will be in the same situation than I was.

My mom thought she “bought” a puppy. The maltipoo, our family has been wanting one, we were close to getting one but it got parvo. So Wr checked online she found David’s website, it seems legit everything seem perfect he was very competent, detailed and communicated perfectly. He sent out the contract and it seem find once it came to zelle him the email showed up as [email protected] and Martin Burton. The guy had lagged it and was not replying. So my self worried and stressed i did digged deeper and she found several of his pictures on google and his same websidte linked to others in the same city, number, and exact address.

I found a maltipoo on a website called davidfindshomes.com and then signed a contract for a dog. I paid 450 dollars through Zelle which was half of the 900 that I would pay when the dog “arrived” to the airport. Then I got an email from citezinshipperexpress.com saying they needed more money to change the crate to a thermal crate because it was “unsafe.” The prices ranged from 900-1350 dollars for the crate. That’s when I realized that this was a scam and that it was illogical for the dog to need another crate when that’s the senders problem. I tried contacting the sender but he stopped replying. He’s located in Cody, Wyoming and his number is 307-888-9990 which is a scam number. The number of the scam shipping website is 252-679-8172. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE

I purchased two purebred Siamese kittens from CFATHAISIAMESE for $1786.00. The owner Mr Brad Thomas 724 Cherokee Dr Ft Collins charged $700/kitten and $386 for shipping. I paid via Apple Pay and i have transaction numbers for funds transferred. He provided a contract, we executed said contract, provided pictures and insisted he take care of all shipping details. Kittens were to be delivered on 20 Dec to my home in Florida. They never arrived.

Mr Thomas claims he dropped kittens off at the shipper but refuses to provide a receipt of transfer to the shipping company and has ceased all communications.

After the money was sent communication had ceased. Then i recieve itinery shipping for flight with tracking number and my address.

Then i recieved a second notice was sent stating my puppy needed a thermal crate, cost 2000.00

Filed police report, soke to AKC bc per scammer puppies were AKC

When my daughter found this all out she sent an email. She was notified back within 5 minutes that my little dog was still avaliable

- Southold, NY, USA

Person pretended to be a small siamese cat breeder located across the country. They wanted $500 before I could see any paperwork or pedigree on the kitten I chose. And would not explain anything about the shipping process, claimed they used an outside vendor so after payment was received I would hear from the shipping company. I could not get any information about the business elsewhere. All of the people who left reviews did not even exist. Luckily my bank called me when I Zelle’d the money and said they could not link the account to any legitimate business and strongly advised me to cancel the payment request. So I did. Once I told the person they never text or emailed me back again.

The scammer sold me a puppy which I paid for and then they hired another scam company to "ship" the puppy. Puppy website was very well done and looked real.

They answered the phone and responded to e-mails. The shipping company is "citezin shipper express" which has a website also. Citezin tried to get $1,300 out of us for a temperature control dog carrier. We were certain it was a scam once we got the ship notice from Citezin since it had errors in its website to look fake. We did not pay Citezin to ship the dog, we paid the McKimm's to ship her, which means they are working together. I only gave them my name, phone number and PO box address. I don't use my PO box on any sensitive information.

Sent money for purchased of Maltese puppy, after proof that puppies existed, via video, contract was sent and sign by Dr. Ryan Clint from 1629 Fairlawn Ave SE, Washington DC. Cashapp name for disbursement of funds was not Dr. Ryan Clint, which was my mistake for not asking why not.

I have sent and recived like 30 emails saying my puppy will be delived but no such thing, now I am not getting any responses.

Scammer has a fake website where they are selling puppy Shih Tzus. They claim to be family owned and were offering a Christmas special of 40% off. After email correspondence and text, I digitally signed documents requested. I have email proof if required. Since I was located in a different State, the puppy would need to be shipped by air so additional charges were added to the base price. After I performed the payment through credit card, shortly after, I recieved an email from INTERMEDIATE LOGISTICS ([email protected]) requesting a "90% Refundable Life Insurance And Crate Rental Fee of ($1455USD) for the insurance of the Pet Life Insurance Certificate which your puppy lacks and also to provide a Soft-Sided Crate or Temperature Regulating Crate in which the puppy will be shipped inside." At this point I did some research online and discovered that this was a scam and then contacted the CC company to report it. I am waiting now for my claim with the CC company to be filed so I can recive a refund.

- Glenwood Springs, CO, USA

Contacted based off of website looking for a puppy. They replied wanting all of my pertinent information and rushed me to give it to them. When asked if I could see a video or other pictures of the puppy they stopped replying. Did a Google image search for the picture they did send and the same dog with name tag is on several other sites.

The merchant wrote me first complementing me on my dog. And I saw they sold puppies we exchanged some words about prices and if they ship to the tri state areas. Fast forward they told me the process and we went from there with putting a deposit down for the dog they even sent me their license as proof of that they’re real breeders. I was suppose to receive the dog today 11/25 and they ended up asking me for more money. Which totaled up to 1,250. And still was requesting more money after that. Once I told them I couldn’t send anymore because they refused to communicate with me about the insurance part they said they couldn’t help me anymore and refused to give me a refund on everything knowing it’s refundable. I have proof of the entire conversation including the payments and them admitting to receiving all payments.

The scammer posted about Lagotto Romagnolo puppies for sale on her website: https://springlackhomes.com/ She asked for a down payment then continued to provide information about the puppy. She then asked for the full payment, which I paid (total of $700). She then asked for an additional $200 to have the puppy delivered which I also paid. The paypal address used was Communication then stopped after that point. All of her photos are from different websites. She told us she was located at 956 Memorial Ave Williamsport, PA 17701. The paypal addresses used were: [email protected] (she claims was her husband named Rodel Boco). The other paypal address used for the delivery fee was Mark Diosell Tambago, which she claimed was her son.

This is a website that selling Yorkshire terrier puppies. You give them your contact information and somebody text messaged us about the puppy, convinced us to use friends and family on. PayPal said we could come and get her or they could ship her to us, assured us that the shipping was incredibly safe, the next day we get a text message from a pet delivery service stating that she needed a special crate to be delivered in and it was gonna cost us $1500. This was a red flag for us and when we started to question it, they disappeared.

- Holtsville, NY, USA

Emailed regarding a puppy and they texted. Said they only ship the dog also the price was a red flag. They really kept texting back about sending $ before we come and get the dog.

- Leesburg, VA, USA

Via Facebook, a person I thought was a grade school friend posted puppies for sale. Thinking I knew this person, I sent them $400 via Zelle to hold a puppy for me. Minutes later I get a text from “Zelle” saying my money would be refunded and available within 24 hours. Once I confronted them about the odd text from Zelle they said the money will be returned and I shouldn’t worry. Well after 24 hours and no refund I confronted again which is when they blocked me on Facebook. I lost $400 and got no puppy. They have since posted the same puppy post at least 2 more times that friends and family have shown me.

- Las Vegas, NV, USA

The website displayed puppies that were available to adopt. Listed with the prices it also displayed adopted puppies with reviews. The seller sent an application by email to fill out. Contract to sign. The name of the air traveling company. The seller was very detailed about the care of the puppy when traveling. Once completed the shipment of the puppy supposedly took place. I was contacted by the shipping company with a very formal introduction in writing. Then the company began to ask for money that wasn’t paid by the sender but would be refunded for the insurance once the puppy was delivered safely. The text messages continued with the sender acknowledging by email that the charged would be refunded. The light bulb finally went off when I called my bank . Horrible experience
