Online pet purchase scam Reports & Reviews – Page 10 (212)

Small dogs are very popular. This guy Mr. James had a website that will fool you. He has small puppies all for 700$ (red flag #1) including food, toys (ok awesome guy) and a 5 year health guarantee (red flag #2) 30 day money back, if you nothing able to bond with the dog, you realize having a dog is too much ect..(red flag #3) . You fill out a mini application on the puppy you want. He sends you an email. Then a text message letting you know that he sent you an email. He ask simple questions to act like he's concerned about where the (invisible) puppy going. Then say he can skip the dog to you for additional $400.00. He only take Zelle payments or Google pay.. He replies back quick, professional and caring. He also states that you are welcome to come pick the puppy up at his home. To make you feel comfortable, I guess. Once he told me my total price. I agreed. I waited for him to send me the contract. And then something (my gut) told me to look harder and really pay attention to every email and text message. Then I seen that his website had been up since 2019. So he definitely should have some reviews beside the ones just on his page. I found nothing no reviews. I kept looking being in denial still. Like no this guy said we can come to his home to pick the puppy up. So then I checked here BBB. And this one lady started EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HAPPEN TO HER. I was like omg that happen to me.. So I just stopped communicating. I thank God i didn't send him $2200.00. I would have been devastated. When something is to good to be true. It probably isnt!!! Follow your gut!! The page looks legit. Below is the picture of the one of the cute puppy I was looking to get.

I saw multiple ads with adorable poodle puppies and a very professional website. The website boasted daily live chats, which helped convince me that this company was legitimate. I requested information and received a quick response with details including the supposed company’s owner’ address, policies, and next steps. Initially the emails I received were from a woman who called herself Emily T. She asked all the right questions about the home where the puppy would live, etc. Here is a copy of the first email I received, which includes what I believed was the breeders address:

Dear Elizabeth,

I hope this email finds you well! I'm writing with respect to your interest in our poodle puppies. Our aim from the start has been and still is to breed soundness and good temperaments into our dogs while making families happy by giving them the opportunities to welcome our adorable, healthy, smart and well trained puppies with a price range of $500 - $1500. We’re located at S 23 St. Kansas City, KS 66102; we’re open for pickups but will ship in case you can't pickup in person.

Kindly get back to us with the following information so we will know how to proceed;

1. Are you a breeder?

2. Have you been keeping puppies or any other pet?

3. Do you have kids at home?

4. Who will be the primary caretaker of the dog?

Hoping to hear from you... Thanks in anticipation!

All of our communication was via email. I continued to receive emails confirming that the puppy would arrive this coming Saturday, and that I would receive a receipt within 5 minutes of my electronic payment. I was told to send money for the puppy and an extra fee for shipping. Knowing some other people whose puppies arrived via airplane, this didn’t seem like a red flag. The scammer pushed me a little bit to make the payment via Zelle and gave me an email address that seemed legit, and so I sent my payment-$600 for the puppy and $200 for air fare! As an aside, I made this payment under the mistaken belief that Chase protected all customers’ transactions, but have learned that Chase essentially treats Zelle transactions like cash. Once I sent the money, I received an email thanking me with a promise to send me all of my pending documents right away, and another promise to ship the puppy this coming Saturday. That was my final communication. stopped. I subsequently discovered that this company is a known scammer, and that this follows a known pattern for scammers who prey upon dog lovers. Not only am I out a lot of money, but I am afraid because I filled out their initial form to request information, which included my complete address and phone number.

This company used several different email addresses:

[email protected]

poodlepupsforsale.com, [email protected], which they used for the zelle transaction.

Subsequently we looked up the company on whois, which showed the following information:

Registrant Name: Wils Anderson

Address: 237 Bonaberi

City: Doula

State: Littoral

Postal Code: 00237

Country: CM

Phone: 237.650814028

Email: [email protected]

Whois shows that the above data was updated on 2023-01-13

I was looking for a kitten and noticed there with the same pictures and ages as kittens from a couple months ago when I started looking originally. I confirmed the old address which was Royal munchkin kittenhome.com and saw all the scams. Obviously that's why they changed everything! They have my phone number email address and I think that's all so hopefully they don't try anything.

This is a puppy mill posing as a rescue organization. They were previously closed as “inourhandsrescue”. They have hundreds of reviews from people scammed by them.

They emailed this info but when reaching out both by email and text the owner jennifer stopped responding after simple questions about fee description and proof of veterinary work/paperwork was requested. I have the rest of the email thread with payment requests but didn’t have the option to upload more than one photo

Where is Belgian Malinios puppy. So I went to google and [email protected] came up on webpage. Saying Beligan Malinios puppy under $1000. I applied to the ad stating I’m interested in buying a puppy did reply back saying the puppies are 850+ $150 for shipping fee. I sent the money by Zelle then the person he will get in contact a make change arrangement with the agency. Then the agency Pem Logstic call that the puppy need life insurance certificate before the puppy can board the plane they ask me 1490 and the money is refundable was the puppy is delivery. The insurance was for if the puppy get injured while in possession of the agency, while in possession of the agency.the puppy was so to be delivered the next day then they text email me the next day stating they need 1350 for the puppy to be in a special air condition Crate I told you keep that dam puppy then. And I’m google to report your scamming a—.the Pem logstic is in Nigeria isscam also. I went on beenverifed about Diavain Bellamy it’s saying he lives in North Carolina not Wyoming. I found this phone #910). 7235553 which only takes text messages. So this for who ever want to purchase an animal cat or dog go to the AKC website.

The website looks legitimate and they offer a variety of puppies for sale, training services, and even nanny transportation from Cody Wyoming to your home. Their website is actually very complete and nice. Their communication was good. They really played on your emotions by showing you all the pictures of these cute little puppies and their parents. But what was unusual is that they didn't want to video chat with you and show you the puppies. You have to make the payment up front. I made the payment and was supposed to receive the dog in 2 days. But they never sent me any specific information for information regarding transport. So I called them and started asking probing questions.to get specific information about the nanny transportation service. There were long pauses of silence and the person on the line skirted around all my questions and wouldn't give me any specific information. This is when I said I question the legitimacy of the company. At that point the person hung up on me. When I called back they wouldn't answer.

I made an inquiry on a website that stated it was a Russian blue cattery with kittens available to adopt. They said they could ship kitten or I could come see the kittens but needed to send a deposit via Zelle to an email address: [email protected]

When I had more questions, he was vague and kept insisting on a deposit sent. I said we could drive up to see the kittens with payment in hand. When I texted to say we were on our way, to the address provided— there was no response and then phone number I had been communicating with was suddenly “disconnected/no longer in service”.

Scam trying to sell Maltipoos. Signed contract for 900 including puppy, shipping (this included nanny to be on flight with puppy) and delivery. After puppy got to connecting flight in another state, I was contacted saying she required a different crate due to weather for rest of trip -this was a 3rd party “Skyline Swift Courier” -crate recommended was 1150. Went to seller wanting to know how she could fly from Wyoming to Nevada but not Nevada to California. Also stated I would not pay more due to use having a contract. Tried to tell me “ I sort this out tomorrow morning so everything will be fine. Please be patient.” I replied with, “ I don't believe you. 'Tomorrow' isn't okay. We had a deal. You're not honoring it.”

Haven’t heard back from seller or third party courier.

Saw link for Maltipoo puppies at 9 weeks old, for $700. I sent email inquiry. Received response back via text and email. Went back and forth. Received pics and video of the pup. My sister-in-law also wanted a pup. Received pics and video. We sent money via Zelle. For pups, transportation and home delivery. Totaling $1,450. Communication got sketchy. I called, it rang and then disconnected, no vm. I text, no response. I text and said I was calling my back immediately and received an immediate response back asking why. I explained the situation and asked if we could video so I could see the pups. He asked if he could have a day to video as he was out of town. No pups, no money

We got scammed on the purchase of a maltipoo from this sight. A week later I came across the exact same site with a new name. It was kingscuddlers.com and now it is jameshouse.site. Same dogs same site, new name. Same phone number. 3073030153. I did a reverse look up on the phone number and it shows it in Cheyenne Wy. Which is actually 5 hrs away.

My son and daughter in law attempted to buy a puppy from kingscuddlers.com. They paid approximately 400 dollars (about half the cost of the dog) thru Zelle. The man sent updates on the puppy a couple of times and then about a week before he was suppose to ship the dog to Indiana, all contact ceased. He stopped responding to emails, texts and phone calls (2 different numbers). And no puppy was shipped. Today I came across another website jameshouse.site which is exactly the same as kingcuddlers website, he just changed the name of the site. Same dog pictures and everything. The dog named Matt is one they put the money down on.

I wanted to report a puppy scam I experienced in order to help prevent future families from experiencing it from this breeder. I bought a havanese puppy from John Kowal under the business of Havanese New York. They have a website, havanesenewyork.com, and an Instagram, @havanesenewyork. He advertises himself as a local breeder, when in fact he is selling puppies from Blue Ribbon puppies in Indiana. Upon my research after buying the puppy and learning he was from a puppy mill, I learned John Kowal has been doing this for a very long time. Previous victims of the scam have stated online that when the word gets out about his business of reselling puppy mill dogs and sick dogs advertised as locally bred, he makes a new website and social media account in order to hide his reputation. His business is currently in Manorville, NY. There are many online platforms where people have shared their traumatic and horrible experiences with the sick puppies they’ve bought from him.

I applied for the adoption of a gray parrot called missy. They told me I qualified and that they could take her from the adoptable fee if I paid the $350 thru Zelle. I did so on October 22. Since then, I have exchanged multiple emails and messages thru Whatsapp. They told me there was a delay because the parrot was vaccinated. For the last 3 weeks, i've been messaging them (emails, whatsapp and calls) and nobody responds. I tried to request a refund in Zelle but the account linked to [email protected] does not allow request of funds back. Although every cent is important, the worst aspect of this is that they have a website scamming people under the facase of a non profit organization who claims to rescue birds in captivity. I can't imagine how many other people have been scammed. Is there a way to recover my money and close their website so they can not scamm other people?

Devin Herne wanted $920 deposited into his Venmo account. Would not provide pics of the puppy raising conditions, akc, registration, or delivery agency.
