Type of a scam Nigerian/Foreign Money Exchange

I am a third party, my friend in California called me yesterday telling me about a scam where she almost lost money. She saw several ads on Craigslist about medical marijuana delivery. She has her medical card so she sent a text and was shortly messaged back. They told her to send a picture of her medical card and then send $150 at Walmart via moneygram. She asked if she could pay the delivery driver cash and they denied. So she filled out the moneygram and was told she did not have to give them the reference number until after the product was delivered. Instead they took her information from the picture of her medical card and used it to go online and track the moneygram themselves and aquire the reference number. They told her the money had already been picked up and there would be no refund. She waited for the delivery, they never showed up. She tried getting ahold of the seller and did not receive any reply. Then she called moneygram and they told her the money actually had not been picked up yet so she was able to cancel it just in time. I went on Craigslist myself and saw many of the ads she had been talking about. These posts are also offering hard drugs and fake Id's, licenses, and passports. They obviously have a big operation and need to be shut down to prevent other people from being scammed.
