I've researched the web and found out that they sell your info to other companies and then, ask to do a phone interview where they ask for hundreds of dollars to get your personal info and credit card number in order to publish your bio.
When I entered the person's email address (the one who's been emailing me), on your website, [email protected], it says that this is not even a valid email address, another mistake. If this is a real email/legitimate professional, then, I apologize, but it did not register as a true email on your site. I do not mean to slander or accuse someone incorrectly if this is a real person in a real job. If you do share this, I ask that you not share this email address, just in case, please.
I feel harassed. They are calling my work (I did not give them a number), and they keep emailing me.
They asked for a resume, which I sent, my mistake, (without any personal information, but with my name). I thought it was reputable because they include websites and other information that did check out and when I was in college, I did get into Who's Who, but this is not the same company.
Now, they want to do a phone interview and I've read that this is the next step to then ask for money.
If my information is not correct and this is not a scam, though I believe it is, please let me know. I've seen many stories like mine on the Internet. If it is legitimate, I apologize and please do not share the person's email address, as I do not want to slander someone's reputation. However, as of now, I believe this is a scam.
They also say that the company charges for plaques and other memorabilia and that is also hundreds of dollars. This is not the Who's Who? I remember from college.
