This phone call came in on 8/1/17 at 1:08 p.m. The message left on the answering machine was that "this was officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service, regarding filing a lawsuit in your name because you have tried to do a fraud with the IRS, Internal Revenue Service and we are taking a legal action issuing an arrest warrant in our name." Then they left the same number that I was to call that appeared on my Caller ID. According to the white pages, that number was one of little or low risk as they had no other calls about it and the number was from Alabama. Of course I did not call. I have received other messages regarding IRS but this was very threatening and they did not mention money but of course I am sure they would have if I had returned the call.

I rec'd a phone call (4 total so far) stating the call was from IRS and that (on 2 calls) there is a warrant for my arrest due to a fraudulent tax report I supposedly submitted. On the other 2 calls they said that they were filing a lawsuit against me for filing a fraudulent tax return. I knew it was a scam right off since I collect diability and haven't filed a return in years!! They had my name address, of course my phone and the last four digits of my social security number. Which I thought was odd. They said they wanted to verify the whole number and I told them if they got the last four they should have the whole number. I wouldn't reveal the first half of my social. I hung up and haven't received a call in about 3 weeks. I'm about due for another call soon.

When they call it is a recorded message saying that they are the irs and thus is the last notice the cops will be there to pick us up. They tell you to call back and when I did they asked for my name I asked them who they were looking for they hung up. I called again and did the same thing the lady kept asking me my name I then said I am not going to give you any information. She then said sorry I can not give you any information I then told her to stop calling they called 4 more times with in an hour. I called them back and said stop trying to scam me I work for the police department and had reported him to my boss it was a lie but he then said I want to turn myself in i said ok go to you local police department and do that. I hung up. And now on here reporting this to you.

My mother was contacted by phone from the IRS that said they were suing her, they left a message with the phone number 360-284-4869 but when I tried to call it today it said my connection could not be made, shes 72 years old so it scared her to death. I assured her the IRS would not leave her such a message.

Received phone call from a Portland, ME number and the individual identified himself with the IRS. He pulled up the name associated with the phone number and said that there were serious misrepresentations on a tax returned filed. They were trying to contact my daughter but called my number and not her number. I knew it was a scam when the individual identified as being with the IRS and had a foreign accent. I said that there was no misrepresentation and that the call was a scam, he told me to FO 4 times before hanging up.

He was not given an opportunity to ask for money.

I'm only reporting this so that others know that any calls from this number are a SCAM.

Called and asked for my name, saying they're part of the IRS' Federal Tax Bureau Crime Investigation Unit. Told them my name and they hung up, called back, they kept acting rude, asked what company they were and repeated that they were an IRS crime investigation unit. They asked my name and when I told them, they hung up again.

I received a call from people claiming to be the IRS and they informed me that I was being sued by the IRS because I did not correctly file my taxes. This guy had knowledge of the laws and fooled me with his fake name and ID badge. He has a very thick Indian accent. He continued to tell me that if I did not pay 3000 right now then he would send the cops after me. Luckily I'm broke and didn't have any money to give them.

Been called twice a day for last 2 days from this number. Automated Message saying they are with the Investigation Unit of the IRS and have a matter they are ready to take to my county court. They tell me to call them back at 667-401-1794. Seem fishy as I know I have no IRS Issues so did reverse look-up on this number and it's flagged on whitepages.com as spam and has comments listed describing same message I got.

I had got a call and they left a message saying they was IRS and I was being took to court..I knew when I got the call it was a scam..I have no problem playing along..I called number back and a nice foreign man named JASON MURPHY badge number DC670699 asked for my name and of course I gave him my name (the one i wanted to give him) . He even found the name I gave him(imagine that).. He went thru all this stuff about how I owed 4000.00 to IRS and I had 2 ways to pay it ,One was go to court house to pay it or pay it to them which was cheaper.. Of course I picked the cheaper one.. Well he said I was being recorded and I needed to put him on speaker phone as I drove to Walmart cause if I disconnected call I would be in trouble with IRS so heck no I wasn't gonna let that happen,Ok so now he thinks he has me so I asked him was I being recorded and he said yes for private reasons and I said" WELL SO ARE YOU AND I DON'T GIVE MY MONEY TO STRANGERS " . Why would IRS be so ugly... People this is real and I may mess with them but they do get over on people and it's wrong..Please don't let this happen to you.. Now with that being said I'm gonna call and play along again, I have nothing but time!
