SAID THEY WERE WITH THE IRS & THERE WAS AN ARREST WARRENT OUT FOR ME & TO CALL THEM RIGHT BACK.

SOUNDED LIKE A RECORDED MESSAGE.

HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO NOT CALL THEM BACK -- THIS IS A SCAM -- THE IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU LIKE THIS.

BEST THING TO DO IS IF YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE PHONE NUMBER DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.

“The new service regarding tax fraud against your name ignoring this would be an intentional _?_?_ camp to avoid initial appearance before the magistrate judge or exempt jury for a federal criminal offense so before this matter goes to Federal claims court house or before you get arrested kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible the number to reach us is 786-765-0333 let me repeat the number 786-765-0333 hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed against you thank you…”

They called twice in one day and used a computer voice to tell me that agents are on the way to arrest me and seize property because of a tax issue. Call the number back so that I don't have to go down legal paths.

I received a computer generated voicemail and when I called they started telling me that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me for fraudulent reporting on my taxes during the past three years. It was possible it could be an error, but I would have to make payment on it until it was resolved in court. I said I was unable to pay the amount of $3210 and the person said I could do a payment plan. I would have to make a small payment that day to start. Someone would come to my home with paperwork to create the rest of the payment plan. I said I didn't have funds to start payin and he he would have to sign an arrest warrant and freeze my bank account. He said I would have fight in court and everything was being recorded. I would be arrested if I did not begin payments. The way out was to pay as much of the back taxes as I could. I still expressed I could not pay and I would contacted my attorney. He preceded to say I would be detained and have to fight it in court. He then hung up on me when I tried to respond further. During the call he said if I sent payment to the Internal Revenue Department I would receive a state voucher and receipt. He continue to refer to the IRS to make it sound official.

This guy claiming to be the IRS called said his name was Nick Johnson. He left a message stating I had out standing property taxes due and the sheriff will be by to arrest me. He told me to call this number to discuss the issue. Eric Boston answered and said he was an IRS Officer and I owed the money.

The number has been calling for over 5 days back to back and leaving VM stating that they will come and arrest us if we don't pay and threatening to put a lien on the property

Phone calls started in the early morning and continued all morning!

A message was left on my voicemail with no call log (missed call). A guy saying his name was john Parker id #1148 with the irs stating i filed my taxes wrong . And after a audit that i owed 3,000 dollars and that they were about to seize my debit and credit cards .He didnt speak clear english and got upset when I asked for him to slow down his speech. When I mentioned the word scam he hung up. For all those that read this don't get upset like I did. The Irs when you owe or there is a discrepancy. It comes certified mail.

A robotic voice proceeded to tell me that I am being sued by the IRS. If I don't call the number 425-230-4870 within 24 hours, they will come and arrest me. The voice also said that there are 4 charges being brought against me, but I have to call the number to find out what they are. I have not called the number, however, I have received this call twice. I have no idea what will happen if I call the number, but the IRS doesn't operate in this manner, so I know it's fake and deceptive at the very least.

I got a call from ###-###-#### and i didn't answer. They left a messsge saying there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud and multiple other things. I then called back and they said they were the IRS and that there was a warrant out for my arrest and my taxes have been filed incorrectly and I owe $6,179. I was in shock, they knew my address, phone number, my husband's name and that I didn't work. They kept going on and on and on about all the legal things and that I was going to be arrested. I kept asking so many questions, I was scared, and they kept going and sounded so professional. I got transferred over to another person and they kept taking about legal matters and if I didn't pay $1000 to lift the warrant, cops would be at my door and arrest me. I told them I don't have that money. They then said we can do $500. Then went on to say," I hear you have a child in the background. What are you going to do when the police come and take you? Your child is going to have to sit with a stranger while your behind bars." I lost it. Crying and sooooooo confused. I kept asking if I can call them back and they all said, "no! If you hang up, we will have no choice but to hand you over to the authorities and you WILL be arrested. You need to pay for what you have done and then you won't be arrested." He kept asking if i had a debit or credit card and I said I can't make that big of purchase without talking to my husband first

I finally begged them and asked if i could hang up and call my husband and he said,"fine. I will be calling back in 30 minutes. If you do not answer, YOU WILL BE ARRESTED." and hung up.

Called my mom bawling and thankfully she told me it was a scam. They have continued to call me and leaving voicemails saying this is your final notice, or else you week be arrested.

I seriously was so upset I was shaking. : (

- West Bend, WI, USA

The scammer said they were from the IRS and I had a error in last years taxes. The fine was $3000 and if I didn't pay today they would freeze my accounts and I would go to jail for 90 days. I told them about due process and the IRS would never freeze my accounts and I would go to court first before anything like this would happen. They hung up on me.

My case number was AV3674X00H

The guys ID number was ML047856

His last name was Villard

Damon Williams calling from IRS

They said they were from the IRS and that we owed 1000 and that if we didn't pay they would send a arrest warrant out

- Clinton, MO, USA

I have received several calls left on voicemail advising me it is final notice. The IRS has filed a lawsuit against me & I need to call them. I called the number 816 399-5120, the number on caller id & left on voicemail. They verified my name & postal code. I answered yes. I then said I didn't believe it was IRS. He said yes he was, and I needed to write down his agent id. I had an appointment to go to & said I would have to call back. When I called back later I said I didn't believe he was IRS, he said "Then why did you call back?" then he hung up.

- Knoxville, TN, USA

This was a recorded call claiming to be from the IRS. Recorded caller mentioned that there were 4 serious allegations against me and they would be contacting the local "cops" if I didn't call them back. This is a complete scam. Any legitimate organization would never threaten someone over the phone, especially with a recorded call, that they would be contacting law enforcement of any kind.

- Wheaton, IL, USA

Received a call that went to voice mail claiming to be Internal Revenue Service, said were issuing a warrant for arrest for tax law violations/tax evasion.

I called them back and spoke to a person who said there was $4256 underpaid on past tax returns and they will be opening a criminal investigation, issuing an arrest warrant and will come to my home and take me to jail (threatening/scare tactics). I then told this person I suspected this was a scam and would call the IRS myself, and asked him repeatedly what was the purpose of the call and what did they want me to do. At that point the person hesitated and I hung up.

I kept asking what state they were calling for and they wouldn't tell me, kept saying that I needed to pay to avoid immediate action.

They had foreign accents

Got a call saying that the IRS was coming to cuff us in 24 hours if we didn't call one of their numbers back.
