Automated message from the IRS saying it was their last attempt to reach me, and that they were giving me notice of a pending action against me. Never have heard from the IRS, and I'm sure they would have attempted to contact me in writing had they not been able to reach me previously by phone. I didn't return the call.

It's my final notice from the IRS and I'm going to be turned in to a collection agency. I've received this before. Today they've called my cell phone twice.

Said that this was a final warning that the IRS was coming after me for money.

I recd a call from the IRS this morning at 9:30 AM - it was a robot call stating that we were being sued & we had to call the 585 no. ASAP. We did not return the call.

- New Castle, DE, USA

(347) 906-8672 stated they were the Irs and there is a lawsuit filed against me. Total scam

I returned the phone call, male on the other end said he was with the IRS. Ask me my name, and at this point I hung up the phone.

IRS calling, Officer Ryan Smith called and stated there is a tax fraud on my tax papers. Needs my lawyer to call them back on his direct number. Don't ignore the call. This is very serious. Left message on phone. I hung up on them. They are calling 2 to 3 times a day.

- Pensacola, FL, USA

this group called claiming the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me, 3-times i returned the call from another phone and each time i started asking questions they continuously hung up

- Cherry Hill, NJ, USA

Called this morning and left a VM said I was being sued by the IRS and to call them regarding the case (no case number). It's less than a 30 second message. They did not ask for money on the message but I am sure that if I would have called back they would. If you look at whitepages.com and reverse phone number, there were three other people besides me that got the same call. White pages also reports it as a scam.

According to the whitepage.com here is the info

Hope this helps.

They call and say they are the IRS. I have had friends say ask for a badge or employee ID. When I did they hang up.

They have an ancient like an asian country.

I received a call from a company claiming to be the IRS and wanting me to pay $8,567 to the claim # IR456131V4 and if I did not pay it he was send a copy to my door in the next 30 minutes to arrest me. The person claiming to be from the IRS could not tell me what IRS stood for. The name he gave me was Josh Johnson. He told me an officer came to my door with a certified letter on the 6th and 13th this month and it was my fault I was not there and he could not provide me with documents for 24 to 48 hours. When I told him I was calling the local cops to report the fraud because the IRS does not work

A man called claiming to be with the IRS didn't give a name but said owed close to $4000 to the IRS and needed to pay. He claimed if I didn't pay they would have the sheiff to my house and I would be sent to jail for 10 years. He said my claim could be but on hold if I pay only $400 over the phone. Called them back to get more information to file a scam claim and spoke with to individuals one named Jack Miller and Sean Anderson. The first individual did not want to give an employee badge number and hanged up. The second employee gave two different badge numbers IRM403136 and IRM 802284.

They called me claiming to be the irs and asking information. The same guy answered and hung up on me 3 times.

They said I owed some money and when I heard that I deleted the message.

- El Paso, TX, USA

James Olsen, badge no. IRM4622 Case Number CP501, states he has 12 officers looking over everything and will freeze my assets and take everything from me and will call a police officer and have them at my door within 45 minutes where as I will have to hire a lawyer and if I loose then I'll have to pay 80k or we can settle it by me paying $8900.00

I told him to go head and send me forward so I can speak to them and see what they expect me to do. He put me on hold then came back on claiming to be someone else. I never got where I was suppose to send the money to sorry.

On my cell phone Recorded voice stated 'you are being sued by the IRS' and to call them back at 310-292-4309.

It's a recorded message, saying to call immediately about your taxes. Gives phone number, then says call.

I had a message on voice mail which said I needed to call the above number ASAP. I was told to not ignore the message and have my attorney call. They identified themselves as the IRS. I called the number. They asked for a reference number, which was on the voice mail, but I would not give it. They then asked for my name and address, which I refused to give. They then cut the call off and said they could not help me. I do not believe the IRS would contact me by phone, so believe this is a scam.

Received a call on my mobile phone from this number saying it was the IRS and that I and my business are about to have some legal issues with the IRS. I hung up on the auto call and called the same number that they also gave and got a person who said he was Eric Marshall with the IRS.

The IRS will never call so I knew it was a scam and wanted to be sure it was in your system.

They said that we owed money and to call the above phone number to get things corrected!
