I received a call from a company claiming to be the IRS and wanting me to pay $8,567 to the claim # IR456131V4 and if I did not pay it he was send a copy to my door in the next 30 minutes to arrest me. The person claiming to be from the IRS could not tell me what IRS stood for. The name he gave me was Josh Johnson. He told me an officer came to my door with a certified letter on the 6th and 13th this month and it was my fault I was not there and he could not provide me with documents for 24 to 48 hours. When I told him I was calling the local cops to report the fraud because the IRS does not work

I had a message on voice mail which said I needed to call the above number ASAP. I was told to not ignore the message and have my attorney call. They identified themselves as the IRS. I called the number. They asked for a reference number, which was on the voice mail, but I would not give it. They then asked for my name and address, which I refused to give. They then cut the call off and said they could not help me. I do not believe the IRS would contact me by phone, so believe this is a scam.

It's a woman's voice, and she tells me that I need to call that number and if I don't, they are going to come and arrest me. They've called both my house phone and my cell phone. I'm extremely tired of being threatened by these phone calls!

I have been contacted two times by 253-203-1856 (Tacoma, WA). They call and tell me to call this number, saying they are from the IRS and that the government is after me for money that I owe. I called the #, knowing that it is a scam, but wanted to find out their method of approach. The woman claims that she is Ofc. Kathleen Jasper and told me to write down some numbers. She has a foreign accent. There is a lot of noise in the background. I finally told her that I knew that it was a scam and was going to call the ScamPulse.com. I told her to take my name off of their calling list.

I got a call saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call back. I called back and was asked to give identifying information which I did not provide. Received a phone call from someone claiming to be the IRS. Gave me personal information of mine that was true, causing me to believe that he worked for the IRS. He said I owed money ($5,000) on taxes and if I did not pay today or talk to the IRS I could be fined or even be arrested for "miscalculated" taxes or "fraudulent" payments on taxes. He said I need to get the payment out in cash and transfer that to Visa Gift Cards so the government officials can have the cards and proof of money so that it is easier. I gave them the card numbers, but while doing so I heard some strange background noises and asked questions about the reliability of his service. The man got defensive and rude. I hung up and called the cops to ask if this was a scam or a real thing. They said it was a scam. I called the Visa gift card customer service to put holds on all the cards, but they had already spent $1,500 of my money illegally. I am waiting to file a dispute and report it so I can get my money back.

I got a phone call I wasn't able to answer so they left me a message. "Hello this call is officially a final notice from the IRS the internal revenue service. The reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number (43.5)559-2302. Thank you." I called twice from my work number which I work for the federal government and that is how the caller Id will show up. The first time it rang numerous times then a man picked up said he was the IRS education department. I said excuse me what department did you say and then the phone was disconnected. I called back and the same guy answered and I said I got a message about a lawsuit from the IRS. He said, are you calling from the number we called you at, I said no my work number and then the phone went silent. He hung up on me. I am attaching the screen shot of the message he left.

I received a call from this number identifying themselves as IRS and said I owed back taxes from either 2014 or 2015. They had foreign accent and hard to understand. They said I owed $5453.00 dollars and case number was CP50143. I asked why I didn't receive papers and they said I did which is a lie and know time was up and I would be charged with tax evasion. I hung up by saying I would get an attorney to handle this. I even said I was told the IRS was not suppose to contact you by phone.
