I was contacted via email. Everything seems real, the email address was hidden to look like it was coming from the company. They asked me to join a zoom platform, so I thought face to face interview. They then had me go through a questionnaire, they asked for banking information but I declined to tell them, the only thing they received was my address to mail me a check, W2 form, and a laptop for work. I then looked further into this as it seemed too good to be true. The company was offering $34 an hour, paying for my miniature office, and sending me a MacBook Pro. I found out that the real company does not ask you to buy any equipment, does not send a check, and does not hire on the spot. So I cleared our conversation and told the scammer off. Figured if it were real, the company would in fact prove something this morning, but no.
